Co housing opportunity in Portland Oregon!!!
You know how sometimes you have this idea in your head of how something is supposed to be and you get so attached to that idea that you can’t see anything else outside of it? While I know that the ecovillage is something that will happen in my future, it looks to be a few years away. I just didn’t wanna wait that long. I didn’t wanna wait that long to be surrounded by family, to answer my calling. And so I thought “Great Mother, show me a different way”, so here I am.
Our lease is up on 4/20/29 and we’re looking to move from our one bedroom apartment into a house, hopefully with 4 bedrooms. My wife and I would only use one room and so there would be two other rooms open for those individuals that feel called to be a part of our ecovillage. One room would be reserved for things like rituals or meditation spaces or yoga, a sacred space that we can enter into.
One person has already come forward and expressed interest in joining our cohousing for April of next year so we are looking for one person, or a couple, who would like to join us on this journey.
This should be the perfect opportunity for someone who:
Wants to live where their authenticity is celibrated
Hears the call of the isle of Avalon
Wants to work together to create something special
Is interested in an ecofriendly way of life
Obviously this isnt the only criteria, and they aren’t all hard and fast rules. For instance, my wife is an atheist. All paths are honored and celibrated as long as you are following that path authentically for you and no other.
Authenticity is something that is a hard and fast rule. We want to build a safe enough space to where you feel free enough to be your authentic self. We feel that in many cases people fear that their true authentic selves will be denied and so they suppress this part of themselves that may not perfectly fit into societies mold. We aim to break this concept and support each other for who we truly are and the unique drum beat that lives within us all.
