What's an Avalonian Priestess?
Good question, big picture she is a light bearer. Showing us a path to our own individual authentic nature. She holds space so that we are able to process our trauma and work through it's cycle in our life. She works within the moon phases and the turn of the seasons and guards the land she calls mother.
We come to this life whole, but once born we are shoved into boxes no one fits into. We are demanded to act a certain way, present ourselves a certain way and if we do not there is punishment. As a result those aspects that don't fit societies labels and boxes become abandoned and resigned to the shadow.
Because we are meant to be whole those shadow aspects will do their darndest to become integrated into our lives, even at our expense. Say our father did not stay in our lives as children. We could develope a root trauma of abandonment. We then would go through situations where we would experience abandonment. This isn't to hurt us but to be a messenger.
This trigger should be a flag that alerts us to deeper emotions that we then can sink into and hold space for. Being there for ourselves while showing compassion and love for these aspects against a society ill equipt to handle the brilliance of who we are meant to be is incredibly tough but when these triggers surface it is because we are safe and stable enough to handle them.
But it's best if you don't do it alone, Avalon is a sisterhood. A network of women willing to reach out and lend a hand, a heart, an ear. We have been there, our feet have traversed the same paths. Above all an Avalonian Priestesses role is to be a way shower.
