conservative women are harassing a retro clothing brand for featuring David Ross Lawn wearing their dresses, which they apparently used to love because their linen clothes are modest and it allows the tradwives to cosplay as waifs from the olden times so they're big mad that the brand is inclusive

Also, when I followed the brand yesterday, they were at 320k followers and now they're at 323k so they're gaining, not losing

I’ve been relistening to Ancillary Justice again… here’s one of my favorite scenes!!

I logged back into this account after at least 2 years just to look up fanart of a book series in reading. If anyone cares at all I'm doing well. Firstly - they look cool

Secondly - i hate hate HATE purses, messenger bags mess up my posture which then hurts my spine, and backpacks are hard to reach and take stuff out or put stuff in.

These? These are perfectly handy, weight gets distributed around your pelvic area instead of hurty spine, and you won’t just forget it laying somewhere. Again.

weird little brain tweak/reframing that helped me out. i Often find that advice that seemingly helps Everyone Else doesn’t make any sense to me, in ways that are hard to describe, and it can be really frustrating. but when i find a way to explain it to myself that finally seems to break through and make it click, it feels really good

Yes! This is exactly what it means! Pick the smallest possible thing you can do! If you need to do the dishes, wash one dish. If you need to cook dinner, go to the kitchen and get out the ingredients. If you need to break yourself out of a scrolling through the internet funk and do something productive, get up and drink a glass of water. If you need to put away a pile of clean clothes, fold one top or put away only the socks.

Getting started is the hardest part. Once you’ve done the smallest thing, most of the time you can do another small thing and another. Even if you don’t, you’ve done one more thing than you would have done otherwise - well done! Don’t beat yourself up because you didn’t do the whole lot in one go. You still did a thing :)
