Because I will never understand why Jon Chu thought putting an incredibly important piece of information on a piece of Jacket we can’t see and have anyone who’s never seen the musical understand what’s happening…
Fiyero’s ill conceived yet heartfelt note in question:
Its always been endearing that he never explains what the plan is but in both versions Elphaba reads it and just gets that bucket ready anyway to fake her death. We are how many months post For Good and People are still learning that a note existed at all. And the director himself had to give an interview stating it because people weren’t connecting the dots.
Maybe next time just let it be very clearly a note.
