much time staring into screens

and not enough time living

One day as I walked thru the city I met some people I haven’t seen for a long time. We exchanged a bit and then ...

After this little chat I started to look around and was wondering how many people are settling right now.

Many people are settling in relationships, jobs, or friendships which they think are ok.

It’s comfortable thats why.

Okay is just being comfortable and there is nothing wrong with that but I really was questioning how people could actually be happy with that and I honestly don’t think that this is possible.

Without risking anything you will never experience a life changing moment. An unforgettable moment which you will remember years later with a smile in your face and heart. Risking everything is of course a huge changes but without that you may will never be satisfied with your life and will question yourself why you haven’t done that.

You don’t have to risk everything everyday, but do not hesitate to take a risk for something you actually really want.

Sometimes people tell me how lonely they are. I thought about how it is possible to be alone in a world full of people.

I guess one reason why we are feeling so lonely is the way of modern communication. We do not see each other anymore or take the time to sit together and actually talk. All we do is looking on our screens and interact with one or two emojis. We do not even call each other anymore.

When somebody tells us a story we do not take time to listen carefully. In most cases we barely react to it. We do not listen and do not try to start a conversation. A laughing emoji with tears in the eyes is a usual response to a social media story. It doesn’t even matter if it was funny. With a meaningless face we respond. Due to the fact we have not tried to understand the story and the person we talk to. This is a big part of the human interaction nowadays.

There is nothing wrong by saying “Im disinterested in the story” or being to busy to actually listen heedful, but if so just say it out loud. Most of the time a person tells you a story, because he or she values you and wants to share life with you.

Be more careful and attentive.
