SIUT Day 7 & 8

Emergency and ESWL. Both were really good. The docs there explained everything really efficiently. I enjoyed it a lot!

SIUT Day 6

Renal rehab OPD i.e. pretansplant OPD. It was again no surprise boring but I did learn a couple of things but that does not justify six hours of attending that OPD. The stuff I learned today, well, it didn’t even take 5 mins for that doc to explain it.

SIUT Day 5

Well, there wasn’t anything really out of ordinary today but it was good. I guess if the doc would have explained me the cases a bit better I would have enjoyed it more. Oncology opd, yeah that was what I attended today and yeah they have pretty cool lunch break. 😂

SIUT Day 4

BORING! Well there is not much you can do in ICU with unconscious patients and busy doctors, there is basically nobody to guide you through and discuss cases with you, you just have to roam around studying files and when you get it done with, you can always stealthily read the novel you've brought with you sitting in the duty room.

My entire body is shaking. I'm losing it. A day might be just twenty-four hours but sometimes getting through just one seems as impossible as scaling Everest.

SIUT Day 3

OMG! The ache I have in my legs is gonna kill me. It is not me not being able to stand for merely 3 4 hours, I have to start exercising soon otherwise I’ll be legless soon. Besides that, today was pretty great I got to know a lot about dialysis, it’s method and all. The most heartbreaking thing was seeing so young people and especially children, not that old people deserve it or anything, suffering from kidney failure and not being able to drink as much water as they want to and going through dialysis for 3 hrs straight and suffering from its complications. The children, they were all smiling and comfortable. It was routine to them but to somebody watching them it was not a good sight, at all.

I have learned to enjoy my own company. I feel contented when I don't have to constantly think about what I should or shouldn't say for the other person to feel comfortable. My close friends are the only people I don't have to act cautious around and I am gald I have such awesome friends. But solitude is what I want these days and also some of my fairytales to come true.🙈

SIUT Day 2

It was AMAZING! Well, there wasn't anything really out of the world but whatever we did today it was productive, from history taking taking to examinations to history discussion, it was really good and this ward was pretty big and spacious, the patient my colleague and I were involved with was really complaint which was a plus.

SIUT Day 1

Overall, it was OK, paediatrics nephrology it was. I dont know if this particular ward wasn’t interesting or nephrology as a whole doesn’t interest me in general, but all in all learned a few things which hopefully I am not gonna forget.
