If you're landing on this page, make sure you check out my earlier post '2014 Reminiscing'. I think they go hand-in-hand.
I'm so excited about the new year. I don't know what it is, but I have a good feeling about 2015. I think a lot of wonderful things will happen for me this year. And I hope I can look back 365 days from now + say that statement was true.
As I mentioned briefly in my earlier post, I learned a lot in 2014, + I want to carry those insights over into the new year (+ for the rest of my life).
So, last night before the clock hit midnight, I wrote out a list of my 2015 Resolutions. What I hope to do, be and accomplish this year. And in essence, that is to do more of what I love, be kind to myself, be light in mind (i.e., to not take life so seriously), + to continue to be brave.
So here's what I jotted down last night in giddy anticipation for a brand new year that will undoubtedly be full of new experiences:
Make an effort to travel more. I want to see Seattle, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, and Vancouver, just to name a few in my vicinity. And these destinations are always on my mind.
Get a big chunk of my book done. I started it so long ago and it's something I've always wanted to do. Now's the time.
Be kind to myself (and to others). It's the golden rule, yes, but sometimes it's hard to treat yourself the way you want to be treated.
Practice yoga three times a week. This is my attempt to get into a workout routine. This, + maybe a bit of the Bar Method to kick my butt.
Be more present in life. To me this means to forget about the past and not stress about the future, but instead to be fully where I am in each moment. It's also about unplugging every once in a while + living life more thoroughly.
Spend more time doing things that make me happy. This includes hiking, photography, painting, reading, napping, traveling, exploring, laughing, and spending time with good company.
Those are my goals this year. Please share some of your 2015 Resolutions in the comment section below!
"Cheers to a new year + another chance to get it right."
