"That boy is an absolute unit!" – a literal veterinarian.
Dr. Dan Smith, a veterinarian in New York, told BuzzFeed News he’s not sure if Buff Cat suffers from a genetic muscle condition, but said, “that boy is an absolute unit.”
“There is a genetic mutation that’s found mostly in some cow breeds that is called double-muscling (look up some pictures, they look fucking swole!) and I’ve heard of rare cases of it in some dog breeds like Rottweilers and Greyhounds, but never in a cat. This might be the first,” he added.

“Our results indicate that the official death count of 64 is a substantial underestimate of the true burden of mortality after Hurricane Maria.”

As someone who wants to study the human consciousness I found this very interesting.
Scott Routley was a “vegetable”. A car accident seriously injured both sides of his brain, and for 12 years, he was completely unresponsive.
Unable to speak or track people with his eyes, it seemed that Routley was unaware of his surroundings, and doctors assumed he was lost in limbo. They were wrong.
In 2012, Professor Adrian Owen decided to run tests on comatose patients like Scott Routley. Curious if some “vegetables” were actually conscious, Owen put Routley in an fMRI and told him to imagine walking through his home. Suddenly, the brain scan showed activity. Routley not only heard Owen, he was responding.
Next, the two worked out a code. Owen asked a series of “yes or no” questions, and if the answer was “yes,” Routley thought about walking around his house. If the answer was “no,” Routley thought about playing tennis.
These different actions showed activity different parts of the brain. Owen started off with easy questions like, “Is the sky blue?” However, they changed medical science when Owen asked, “Are you in pain?” and Routley answered, “No.” It was the first time a comatose patient with serious brain damage had let doctors know about his condition.
While Scott Routley is still trapped in his body, he finally has a way to reach out to the people around him. This finding has huge implications.

HOLY STEAMING SHITFUCKS
WHY IS EVERYONE NOT LOSING THEIR SHIT ABOUT THIS
What a fucking nightmare, just kill me.
I know a girl who was hit by a drunk driver and in that state for a year. When she woke up the first thing she did was tell off the doctor who tried to convince her mom to pull the plug. She heard *everything* while being called brain dead.
Omg^
This is a miraculous discovery, and opens up a lot of possibilities for medicine.
I hope something unexpectedly good happens to you this week.

fun fact the west coast does not have cicadas so you can imagine my surprise when my LA ass moved to Philly for college when all the trees started screaming while they’ve been on fire plenty of times where I’m from they never screamed
i’m c r y i n g
like consciously i know biodiversity exists but i guess i just never considered the fact that some people don’t have the experience where you just wake up one day to all of nature fucking shrieking like hellspawn and you’re like “huh guess it’s that season!”
The season of knife wind, the season of sneezing, the season of sun punishment, the season of tree screams, what’s hard about this
Imagine being able to detach your titties before bed.. so you could actually sleep on your stomach. Lol
My dumb ass gon over sleep and forget my tiddies in the morning..
Keys … wallet… damn, my titties .
My grandma had one of her breasts removed after a bout of breast cancer (she recovered fine) and never got reconstruction so every morning she had to stick this beanbag fake boob in her bra so her chest would be even since her other breast was pretty big. One day my family drove by her house to pick her up and she got in the car like “I can’t shake the feeling I’m forgetting something” and halfway to church she suddenly shouted “MY BOOB” and made my dad turn around so she could go get it
