the most nuanced characters radiate all 9 types of energy
me reading the classics
remember when percy met triton and it was super awkward and triton was like “i’m poseidon’s heir” like what does that even mean! ur dad is immortal dude he’s not gonna die and leave u his kingdom 😂 stop flexing on ur teenage brother you’re 3000 years old
ah yes, the only two people that deserve rights
One of the most underrated things about Harry Potter (the character, not the series as a whole) is that the kid with absolute shit eyesight is a prodigy at spotting a tiny golden ball flitting around in a field that’s like five hundred feet wide. What a little legend he is.
Me: *flipping through my old books* oh hey! I loved this book! The romance was so good
Me: *reading what was once my favorite scene* wait this guy is a dick
Not all character development is positive. Characters can, and in my opinion, should, develop both negative and positive traits throughout the course of their story. As the story goes, they shouldn’t be perfected, they’re people, not artpieces, and so there shouldn’t be a stage where they’ve improved/changed exclusively for the better, to the point where they have no negative traits at all.
Stephanie Meyer: Rosalie Hale killed her rapists one by one. Including her fiancée
Me now and at 13:
kronos: I'm gonna overthrow the gods
some 12 year old with adhd:
Tall, dark, handsome villain: Join me and I promise to love you and rule beside you forever and a glorious day
YA female protagonist: Never! This *points to some Chad* seventeen-year-old boy who lives next door to me is my soulmate
Me:
Emma: you’re useless
Kit: not completely. I can be used as a bad example
