I have lost faith

I have lost faith in my nation I am American  I live in Colorado I am a 14 year old heading into my Sophomore year of High school I am scared of what will happen this month, this year, this decade I am a part of the LGBT+ community  I was already scared to come out of the closet Now I am terrified This nation is meant to be the land of freedom and opportunity You only have rights if you a straight cis white male They say no immigrants, no gays, no trans, none different than me To the people who say this You are a horrible person Who needs to get back in your time machine Because your Nazi comrades miss you 2020 was already hard because of COVID-19 America does not need this homophobic bull**** So dear America and its people I am scared for us Because people see the tragedy that is George Floyd's death As a chance to suppress other people  When really it should inspire us to be better as a country Not divide us in a bad time  People need to expect that very few are like them Officers need to pick a better side And stand with the people of this nation  Not with those who try and control and force their will on the people  So dear America I hope you get better soon

I am a wonder woman in a world full of batmen, supermen, and men who only give credit to the male hero.

I am tired of my male peers getting the credit on the project I did by myself.

I am tired of getting told “don’t get raped” instead of hearing “don’t rape”

I am tired of being told to leave science and go play with dolls.

Barbies are unfair expectations.

Let women be women not the fake stereotypes men want.

I live in a good neighborhood, I’ve never been raped. I carry pepper spray.

School makes me nervous, I fear every wandering hand and hungry stare.

I have yet to have a teacher do this but older students do.

I don’t know any of them.

When out with my friends, I never leave my friends’ side. 

I go to the bathroom with a friend never by my self

I’m 14 I have scared of this since I was 8.

Both are too young.

My friend got raped, and wouldn’t tell anyone because the case wouldn’t go anywhere.

Simply because he had a “good future”

Women are not objects for your pleasure, so take your dick somewhere else.

I am done being used and undermined. Being cheated and lied to.

Time

Once upon a time there was a few seconds they turned into to a minute  which than became an hour  they evolved into a day they grew into a week then multiplied into months then devolved into a year. But no one ever notices when time is passing  they then complain when it is gone. People need to live in the second  but always waste a lot of minutes than just watch as the hours fly by.

People ask “why do you have so many barriers?” and than “let me in”

I say “I have barriers because when the wrong kind of people get in, they break my walls and me, and than i spend so long trying to fix myself after I have been broken, by the person I trusted.”
