My newest coworker is a recent immigrant from Costa Rica. She's self-conscious about her English, but she's eloquent enough that sometimes I forget she is still learning. Today, I had the honor of teaching her the word "zit." 😂

A couple of weeks ago, she was getting feedback from another coworker and myself: her son came home from school & told her another kid had called him a name. They both knew it was an insult, but not exactly where it fell on the scale of insults (like, is it an actual curse word). She told us that she advised him to just say the word back next time if he was unsure. I said she could tell him to add "double" in front of the insult, too. In this case, her son could have called the other kid a "double dumbass."
