@sasukeillness
still thinking about naruto and sasuke when will this sickness end
If the Bremin Four were anything, they were dumb teen boys
The Nowhere Boys writers back in 2014 really just said:
Andy disappears
Jake mentally and emotionally spirals out of control
Chuck the phrase "Earth Balance By Water" somewhere in the middle
To be fair, they weren't wrong for that
(Bit mean, but not wrong)
I've finished watching Naruto and I feel a lot of feelingsđâ€ïž
Naruto fandom is so exhausting like you either canât criticise anything about the manga or you have to hate Kishimoto as a person and think he canât do anything right (depending which side you take) like how about I can acknowledge not everything is in his control and that heâs a human being too but also open to criticism since he put his work out there? Is that too much to ask?
happy narusasu day
i donât know exactly how to elaborate but there is softness in narusasu, even in their violence
something about the worldâs expectations on them x what they actually do because of how they feel for each other. how a world that only teaches them hatred and violence would expect them to act with those tools, and they do up to a point, but their love breaks those expectations as well, it influences them positively. thatâs why part of the general public doesnât understand or gets frustrated by narutoâs actions during kage summit, for example, because they are also expecting the violence. there is softness in sadly staring at your unconscious best friend in the rain and not being able to kill him as you promised before, even though thatâs whatâs expected of you in your search for revenge. there is softness in saying you wanted to reach out for the other, wanted to comfort them, as a lonely kid starved of love but finding nothing but hatred. there is softness in going against everybodyâs expectations of you, the village hero, killing your best friend when everybody gave up on him, of having a panic attack at the thought of his possible death. there is softness in admitting you didnât know how to deal with your jealousy so you mistook your true feelings for a rivalry, in saying youâre really glad you met your best friend even when youâre in the middle of a strike between the two of you. there is softness in being able to see the otherâs heart when youâre exchanging blows. there is softness in silence, in letting your best friend take his hatred on you, just so you can show him that youâre there for him, that heâs not alone. kishimoto keeps creating those narratives of rivalry, revenge etc that are fuelled by anger but keeps breaking the expectations with feelings of warmth and comfort and love. it breaks the expectations of the genre itself.
you can pick âhow do you love? like a fist. like a knifeâ and âif you need to be mean, be mean to meâ and âsorry about the blood in your mouth, i wish it was mineâ and apply to narusasu, but they are also âonly the sun has come this close, only the sunâ and âso maybe this time, love doesnât kick down the door â doesnât rattle the windows or plant weeds in the flower garden. maybe you canât smell the smoke because, for once, nothing is burningâ.
a collection worth adding

Sasukeâs mangekyou sharingan resembles awful lot like the anahata chakra symbol in Buddhism
Just a quick reminder of how cool Sasukeâs MS design is
