I'm less inclined to take the blog in such a positive light, since my own ask was tagged with them saying they didn't think my ask was a good faith attempt. Which, for one, I didn't annon it. I tried to give it a face, since my blog has a lot of trans content going a decent bit back. And two, I chose to use a lot of soft language- "I think", "I disagree", and critically that it would be "cool" for them to stop, but otherwise I am out.

I'm not going to respond to them, because I don't really think someone responding to a trans person saying blatant misgendering isn't a "big deal". I do thoroughly believe discussion so I've grabbed your rebelog.
As others have said in the comments & reblogs, I don't believe conservatives play by logical rules. That's rule 101 I learned as a kid: a nazi knows they are ridiculous, but they don't have to not be reasonable, they are a nazi. Modern conservatives are playing fascist, and it's working. Logic and reason don't seem to be playing well for the polls, and they tossed it out the window.
Two, the logic of one of the hundreds of EOs the president's office has released (and this I think is key- the modern presidency is a team game and that EO likely came from project 2025 folks) having a singular line isn't the gotchya liberals and leftists want it to be. We laugh about it, but it has little life outside of Tumblr et all. I doubt if pressed, the president could remember it.
It's also reminding me of a logic trap used against trans people- 'oh you called yourself a woman in your college application, oh you won women in science awards/ scholarships but now you are saying you aren't a woman????' People's understanding of their own gender evolves as they mature, and a singular line on one piece of paper doesn't overrule their active wishes.
And three, that's the crux of it- the president doesn't act like someone who doesn't care about pronouns. I know a lot of people somewhat in that camp or fully. The president acts like someone who has taken the highest seat of office in a country that has never not elected a cis man before. He uses masculine forms of address when talking about himself in third person, calls himself a man, and critically enforces regressive gender norms.
Trying to be clever via language should always be second to human rights. It's why trans masculine people don't use "the big chop" to talk about cutting off long hair or use nb as shorthand for non-binary because the Black community said "hey, we already use that term, please don't".
Finally, as several people have pointed out: gender conforming, highly privileged cis people are very likely to not be harmed by this method. This is a discussion that then, logically, should centre people who are able to be harmed by it: trans people, intersex people, gender nonconforming people, and its intersection with people who are cis but are receiving racist attacks (such as calling Michelle Obama a man) come to mind.
It's not about perfection, it's about not repeating some of the core problems that gets a person like the president elected.
Thankfully, unlike US elections this is something you can just opt ouf of. Did it suck to wake up and see misgendering as a cool liberal tactic again? Yeah. But one click and it goes away.
