im losing my MIND over this thing

I've named it Sasquafraid, from Sasquatch and Afraid, and it is The Cryptid Pokemon (this could be changed). I made it for my Pacific Northwest based region, Kaskadia.

Sasquafraid is a very rare Pokemon to see, if its even real. People have claimed to see it all over Kaskadia, but no undeniable proof has been found.

It is said that Sasquafraid's back fur has grown green as to blend in with the leaves of trees and bushes.

People have found nests unlike any other pokemon nests, abandoned seemingly recently, as if Sasquafraids have no permanent home. Some Sasquafraid researchers have reported the creatures moving or taking possession of intentional "gifts" left by humans such as food and jewelry, and leaving items in their places such as rocks and twigs

SFW Paldean Teachers x Reader Snips!

You're the new literature professor, brought in to teach students about books, stories, myths, and writing skills. You tell them about the Heroes of Galar and the Temple of the Sea, the mythologies of legendary Pokemon like Lugia and Mew, and have them practice their writing skills by writing about their own adventures with pokemon.

You're also the talk of the entire academy.

Everyone knows that the other teachers, the Director, and even some of the Elite Four are down so bad for you.

Jacq always finds himself so flustered in your presence. You make him feel at ease and you're always happy to listen to him ramble on about his Pokémon research. You've even been to a few different regions and have quite a few entries he's never seen before!

Saguaro and you can talk together for hours. You often share new recipe ideas and favorite foods. You helped him scour the library for some old recipe books and he couldn't be more grateful. You always compliment his cooking and never judge him for his tastes. You know he loves sweets and always have some hanging around in your office to share with him.

Dendra is ecstatic to have such a worthy opponent. You have Pokemon she hasn't battled before and your strategies are so different! It's a great challenge for her. She admires people who are strong and brave, and she's seen first hand how cool you are after you fought off a Paradox Pokemon to save some of your students!

Hassel values your time together more and more. You have such a unique and interesting perspective on his art and the world around you, and at times he can't help but feel the need to impress you. He's so proud of you when you become the first teacher to become a Champion that he cries tears of joy.

Raifort finds your knowledge invigorating. You both find other regions' histories fascinating and will spend your breaks together building theories and speculating about the past. She's not against sending other teachers to look for you elsewhere if it means she gets to monopolize your time for a little longer...

Miriam is grateful to have you as a friend. She successfully passed her exams and is teaching a health class! This is her first semester as a teacher and you have been so helpful to her in figuring out how to teach well and how to be a good role model to the kiddos. You take away a lot of her nerves and make her feel calm. She will make up excuses to have class events booked together with you (she will be so mad when she realizes the competition for sharing events with your class is fierce)

Salvatore adores chatting with you. As the head of the humanities track, you spend a fair amount of time with him going over your lesson plan. He has great respect for your intelligence and comes to you for tips on how to train his dear little Pawmi. Every now and then he'll invite you to watch a movie with him in a foreign language. It's always good practice!

Clavell is relieved to have such a reliable teacher on the team. He knows that Team Star was formed as a result of intense bullying and is happy to see that students of all backgrounds seem to feel safe and welcome with you. He knows that you care as deeply for them as he does and picks your brain for advice if he feels like something could be improved.

Now, if he could just figure out how to get the students to stop making bets on who would ask you first. It was inappropriate to discuss such a thing!

Though he supposed his friend Clive could find a little more information than himself...

So, y'know how in the background of one of the Raifort scenes you could see a picture of Professor Laventon?

How would Raifort react to seeing the protagonist/Reader's picture in the books and then later seeing them waltz through the door. Older, battered, and definitely sporting some scars they didn't have in the photos. But alive and in the present.

Oh my goodness this was so much fun to write. I actually had to stop myself from going overboard on it. The concept is amazing and I don't know why I didn't think of it before!

SFW Raifort: Shadows of History

Raifort was very well versed in history; probably the one who knew the most about it in the entire region minus Professor Sada.

She had spent hours and days hovered over text books and images, learning as much as she could.

The day that you walked into her class though, she couldn't believe her eyes. She could recognize you immediately.

Sure the hair was different, and the outfit was a big change, but there was no doubting it. You had appeared in her history books several times; mainly when discussing ancient Hisui. Though now you were older with new scars over you; she could see it despite the winter uniform you wore.

At first she thinks perhaps you're just a distant ancestor that happened to copy/paste from centuries ago. Then she gets a closer look at your mannerisms.

You had some more old school ways of doing things, and the glimpses she had seen you out in the school yards or wild areas was different from any student. You looked almost wild; like you had adapted to surviving in the wilds. Hell, she saw you directly dodging several pokemon attacks while recording something in a journal.

You were an enigma to Raifort and she couldn't help but study you closely. Time travel surly wasn't a thing, so how did you end up here?

This didn't stop her from being inquisitive. If you really were from Hisui, that means you knew stuff that never appeared in history books. When she went over Hisui in her class, she wasn't subtle about putting questions on the test that nobody would know the answers to.

She was disappointed to find out you were careful though, not revealing too much on the tests. It was frustrating and she was fighting back the urge to just corner you and ask you directly. She knew that might not be the best course of action though. What if you took offense and reported her? Then she'd be fired and wouldn't have opportunities to observe you.

So Raifort studies in silence and slowly tried gathering as much data on you as she could; fully expecting to one day find a way to ask you straight up.

There was just no doubt about it. You were the ancient Hero of Hisui.
