Binged The Gospel of Haven and GOD I am so excited for season 2. The world building, voice acting, and pacing were perfect. I've listened to a lot of audio dramas and this one really impressed me.

crenny is imperfect to me. crenny encapsulates the difficulty of being in a relationship; navigating it during hardship; being incompatible and learning to love each other; being too compatible and suffering as a result. craig is too nonchalant for his own good and avoids emotional vulnerability; tackles everything with logic first and rarely expresses himself. kenny is, although intelligent, far too entertained by life’s problematic delicacies. as a cross dresser and pervert, he is excited by that which appears taboo. despite this he is deemed kind and loving, especially to karen. when brought together, these characters appear to be rather different. they rarely interact in canon and are only acquaintances. yet i am drawn to them because of their discrepancies, because of their similarities and striking differences. for a lot of people, this makes sense, but many people fail to recognise crenny’s similarities, and that’s where their perception crumbles (if they even get that far.)

crenny share a singular trait which defines them in their perpetuity, and this is nonchalance, although with kenny i would like to specify and employ the word flippancy instead. although they are synonymous, for these characters the difference is unique (imperative) if given sufficient attention. craig does not care about anything, and if he does, he only displays it to those whose respect he covets. kenny acts like he doesn’t care about anything either, but his flippancy is catalysed by his immortality. still, these elements fuse when they interact with each other, creating intriguing scenarios and tension. therefore, when you put two emotionally detached characters together, you are faced with endless possibilities. god i love them
