I’ve been watching this game for a month now and at one point the comments voted to have op, local anarchychess celebrity and broke college student who doesn’t even own his own board (the one in the picture is his roommate’s), buy a chess clock on Amazon as a full in-game move, and then when he posted that he got it the comments section immediately voted to send it back. there was an elaborate fanfiction between two of the knights that established an ongoing relationship as a full in-game turn, the king is hanging upside down because he got banished into another dimension, one of the pieces got COVID and had to go into isolation with all the pieces around it at the time, and at one point they annexed a pop tart from a box they saw in the background for part of the board. like this looks like so much chaos that it’s hard to believe there ever was an order here but this was, in fact, a slow calculated destruction and from what I understand, op is going to 100 moves, or at least the comments section is insisting on it

It has been a while now (probably years?), I've kept a story developing in my head (but I'm not a writer/don't know how to word it)

It reached a point where I would like to share it but I don't really have anyone to share it to, so I'll post the background story here

It's okay if no one care, at least I still have a place to share it

Simplified background story:

Long time ago, the Goddess of rain, Ameko (雨子), had a child with a human which later reproduced and started creating a whole new community of unaging, immortal half-gods half-humans beings.

Their descendants, hated by the others humans on Earth, used their godly powers to move and go live on the Moon.

Once on the moon, the Lunarians started considering themselves as superior beings and regularly sent spies on Earth to cause troubles (lying to them, causing conflicts/wars/creating fake beliefs, ect...) in order to eventually destroy the Earthlings and conquer the whole Earth.

4000 years and countless wars caused by the Lunarian spies on Earth later, the Earthlings, who forgot about the existence of beings on the moon long time ago, finally find out about their existence. This marks the beginning of the Great Earth/Moon War, involving Earth's technologies and Moon's powers.

In the meantime, a group of rebels on the moon starts their activities in order to stop the war and the superiority complex of the other Lunarians.

Most of them got chased out of the mainland and took refuge on a remote island where they started living, while maintaining contact with the rebels who managed to stay on the mainland.

After 12 years of living in their island, they got detected and chased out of the moon by the mainlanders for being Earthlings sympathisers, and thus sinners too impure to live on the purest land. Around 90% of the island population (originally ≈4000 people) got wiped out, the remaining 10% went back on Earth, using magic in order to stay undercover and keep their whereabouts hidden against both the Earthlings and the Lunarians.

Despite being hated by both the Earthlings for being Lunarians, and by the Lunarians for acts of betrayal, some of them kept trying to resolve the conflict while the majority of them gave up and started living their lives, trying to ignore the Earth/Moon situation.

I was wondering... What's something you thought was normal as a child but then you grew up and noticed it wasn't normal actually?

Something I found out just recently: People look each other into the eyes not only out of politeness, but they see actual emotion in there somehow.

I thought it was normal to just have no fucking idea what the person talking to you is feeling unless the facial features were comically exaggerated.

This is why I also loved Lie to Me as a kid, that shit seemed like straight up magic to me.

When I was a kid I thought it was normal to get sick 4/5 or even 6 times a year, for a period of over a whole month each... Rhinopharyngitis, bronchitis, ect...

I had a severe case of pneumonia when I was 3 (almost died) and that weakened my lungs (or more like: my whole respiratory system) and that was why I was often sick

I suddenly stopped getting sick since I started wearing masks last year (I'm 20 years old now)

This is out of the blue! I am Afghan and I am currently living in Afghanistan. Today (15 Aug 2021) the Taliban entered the capital city of Afghanistan which is Kabul. The government is going to change to an Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. They ruled in Afghanistan for 5 years, 20 years ago. I've heard stories about them since I'm 19 and luckily was not yet born. And let me tell you the stories were terrifying, but they were just horror stories to me and I never thought that I'd be living under their regime, but here we are.

Let me tell you something shocking: girls can only study up to 6th grade. The future of female students in universities hasn't been decided yet.

As they are just pieces of crap, I don't really believe that they'd let us have mobiles or use the internet. I really hope this isn't my last post in here! But if it is I want to let the world know of what they've done and what they're doing.
