Willow and Chloe got an early Christmas gift from Santa! Willow decided to try her luck at Ori first and Chloe is just content at watching for now, patiently waiting for her turn.

The holidays are slowly starting to show their faces here at Savannah Doll House. Luci and Lea are the lucky ones to get to wear the newest holiday fashions from Janie and Jack. Aren’t they adorable?

If you ASK for feedback on whether something is offensive (because you know it is) but hide the comments of anyone who rightfully calls you out, you're not going to fool anyone into thinking you have a genuine desire to be anti racist.

If you reblog from this person commenting about the "pretty dress" and not the glaringly problematic choice to make a doll of the most famous fictional slave owner in literary and cinematic history, I'm going to assume you have no genuine desire to be anti racist either.

Lovely. Because you and the other people in my inbox and asks calling me a racist and telling me to now kill myself because of a custom doll I made know so much about me. I blocked people who asked to be blocked because of my post. That’s all I did.

Now, if you would like to actually TALK to me instead of jumping down my throat and telling a mentally unstable woman to off herself, I’m here. My inbox is open, but I will not air my dirty laundry in posts. Thanks.

You're making a massive assumption about me and other people here. I would never tell anyone to kill themselves and a lot of people who are calling you out for being racist wouldn't either.

Our comments are a way of giving you feedback, which you asked for.

If you are genuinely interested in being anti racist, and engaging in respectful dialogue, I recommend communicating directly with the people who call you out. It's a big red flag that you choose to respond to me, a white person, but ignored and blocked the comments of a Black person who was fully within their rights to feel hurt by and uncomfortable with your new doll. (And honestly their response was really mild considering how offensive that doll is because of what she represents.)

See but that’s the thing, she doesn’t represent what you are claiming her to represent to me. To me, she represents strength and determination in times where I don’t have that myself. She reminds me to be a strong, fearless woman when all I want to do is crawl into bed and cry myself into a depression fueled coma. And I stated that on the original post.

As for the people I blocked, I did that at their own request. “Blocked” and “unfollowed” were mentioned by each of them so that is what I did. I don’t know who sent the Anonymous requests to kill myself, but someone did and at 5 in the morning, that sentiment and those comments were not something I was dealing with. Was I wrong? Yes. But all I can do from here is unblock them so they can reach back out and talk to me as I should have done in the first place. That is my bad.

I am not a racist person to appreciate a character in a book that was a product of her time period. I AM someone who sees what Black men, women, and children go through because of real racists every single day as I have a bother and his children that deal with some truly heinous garbage on a regular basis. It’s disgusting and I hate that they and anyone has to deal with it.

At the end of the day, I have decided to delete the main post, and won’t be posting photos of her any longer. Quite frankly, I may just sell her as this whole thing has left a sour taste in my mouth.

So like I knew I would, I forgot yesterday’s spirit day outfit! Kieryn took a micro break from her Hogwarts lessons to borrow some clothes from Trevi’s closet. She’s representing the 60’s. I love her long hair but I can’t wait until February when I’m going to have it professionally cut and thinned out so it’s not so dang heavy! Poor thing can barely stand on her own because of it!!

Ok guys you know my American Girl Google Drive? Found out that a couple of the books we don’t have yet have ebooks on Nook– I don’t have one nor do I know how to pirate ebooks from that, but if anyone DOES, here’s a list of what ebooks are available there that we need under the cut!

When I was in high school (waayyyyy back in the day) we had spirit week around this time of year for homecoming. One of the themes was always 80s. Ariel decided to volunteer to play dress up for me! So here’s to spirit week— which I totally think we should make a thing.

While it is a little chilly off and on here in Savannah, my Hawaiian girls are headed to the beach! After a bit of convincing, Kanani managed to get Chloe out of her shell and into a suit to join her and Nanea. I have a feeling the three of them are going to be three peas in a pod here soon.

My mom and I are on a road trip to look at the fall leaves, and we specifically made a stop at the Charlotte AG store on the way! I found the sweetest little girl hiding behind some other boxes and just had to take her home!

She is so sweet but very, very shy. I am so in love with her and am so happy I picked her to join Savannah Doll House! Welcome to the family sweet girl! 💙💙💙

Purging even more of my dolls. I just want a TM 119 and can’t justify getting her when I have so many other ones in my room. So the next round, we are saying goodbye to MaryEllen, MJ, a PC Samantha (with PC meet), one of my Kanani’s, a Marie Grace, and a few TMs, a few of which are at the doll hospital getting all fixed up and ready for their new homes. Anyone interested?
