Max was diagnosed with a urethral obstruction Thursday, May 3. He has sludge and crystals in his bladder. We had to transfer him to 3 vets within 2 days. When he came home Saturday night after being on a catheter for 36 hours, he still didn’t seem 100% better. We had to take him back to the ER vet on Sunday, and he was in worse shape than the first time we took him. His second blockage was so bad that his kidney levels were off. The vet is recommending Max undergo a perineal urethrostomy (PU) surgery in order to greatly reduce the chance of another blockage. When Max is healthy, he likes to go on adventures around town, traveling via backpack. You can see his many adventure on Instagram @maxtheactualadventurecat
