It’s problematic to have a romantic attraction to anyone who is not the exact same age as you therefore the only truly wholesome romantic relationship would be between twins born moments apart.
"Inbreeding" actually doesn't inherently cause malformations. That's a myth (and highly rooted in eugenics). It's about recessive genes, which can happen even with two completely non-related partners, if both of their families have the same recessive genes (diabetes, cancer, mental illness, etc).
As I read years ago: Genes don't just recognize similar genes and go into meltdown mode. That's not how genetics work.
Really, if the two relatives have great genetics, their child(ren) could likely inherit those good genes.
