Activated charcoal is a treatment and can cause some medicines to stop working when ingested! Heed this advice!

Along the same vein, do not use charcoal toothpaste! It is highly abrasive and can permanently damage your enamel, leaving your teeth sensitive and vulnerable to decay.

All in all, charcoal is not something to casually add to your diet or daily routine. Unless you have a medical reason for using it, please keep this trendy product away. It’s whitening effects are not worth scraping your teeth to shreds.

If you want to spookify your foods and treats but don't want to add black food coloring (for whatever reason) and heeding the warnings of the previous posts, try squid or cuttlefish ink!! You may have to tweak your recipe a bit but itll give you that spooky coloring. Just make sure to always properly inform people of your ingredients.
