“oh–good job. you broke it!” tommy announced loud enough for everyone to hear. if you blinked, you would have missed him shoving the mangled tech into the other persons hand.
“Did I?” Wanda glanced down, red righting the item. “It looks fine to me.” She remembered her Tommy then, the boy who had been consumed by the multiverse. Wanda wanted to fix everything for the twins but she hadn’t even been able to keep them alive.
“I suppose I picked the wrong time to be murdered. I’m glad reality didn’t crumble in my absence.”

“It would have been more ‘awesome’ had I not been murdered in the first place.” Wanda pointed out. “But thank you, Scott. Self-resurrection is difficult.”

“Is that how you feel?” Wanda spoke up from behind him, an amused smile playing out on her face. “I appreciate your help, but there are some people that I need to see. Right now is an especially dangerous time, Pietro. I’ve become unfortunately popular.”

“Basic magic. Just a spell to put things back together.” Waving her hand, Wanda brought the two broken pieces back together. “No reality warping here.”

“join me if you like. you seem like you could also use a bit of peace and quiet.” she was usually alone when she came to this room, but she didn’t mind sharing the space. ororo was just about to meditate, trying to wind down after an eventful week. it was important to ground herself again at the end of the day–that didn’t always look like lighting candles and meditating–but today it did.
Folding her hands in front of her, Wanda briefly bowed her head. “I appreciate the offer, Ororo, but I have a routine before I meditate.”

“do we need to be worried about other copies of people coming out of this …spider mess–or is this somehow contained specifically to peter parker..?”
“I feel as if Natasha is answer enough to that.” Wanda paused. “I haven’t seen you since we last spoke.” Since she had broken the news. “How are you, Steve?”

“no yeah, i’m totally fine. clones are, you know –– a lot more present in my life than you’d think. that’s not weird is it?”
“I was recently resurrected by my alternate self. Things are, as you said, quite weird.”

“so are we just ignoring the problem and hoping it goes away or did the wizards actually have a plan?”
“We’re doing the best that we can at the moment,” Wanda spoke for herself and Strange. “But it won’t go away on its own.”

“i mean, i’ve been - okay. you know, all things considered.”
“That makes you one of the few.” Which was unfortunate, really. “We have to mark down how many are unchanged just like those who are.”

“i’m gonna do it,” he grinned, fiddling nervously with the ring box, “i just –– i need to find the perfect time.”
Her heart twisted in her chest. Wanda remembered the ring appearing on her finger and Vision’s arm around her shoulder. She missed him. She missed being married. She missed -- “Congratulations.” Somehow, her eyes remained dry. “Marriage is a very special thing.”

“You? No. I was talking to that asshole.” Janice glared at the man who was now walking away. Truth be told – Janice hadn’t noticed the woman reading, and the sound of her speaking gave her somewhat of a startle. “You studying?”
Wanda glanced over to the man, nodding once. Her smile was placid. “Just a little theory. We have to study every now and then.” That seemed like a safe response. “I’m Wanda.”

wanda loved pietro fiercely. she’d give her life for him. that being said, daisy had a point. “pietro is an acquired taste,” wanda compromised.

“you know, hanging out with me means you’ll probably see your own face plastered all over tomorrow’s tabloids. kinda just an occupational hazard at this point.”
“i think that my time in the press has come and gone already.”
