Okay, I’m rewatching glee again (bc apperantly I want to torture myself) with @ancynamonek​ and holy fucking shit. I just realised how clever Kurt’s fashion choices actually are. Of course, I knew it already, however this look made it clear once more (and proved it). Look at his outfit in the ‘Born This Way’ episode. Kurt is wearing a white jacket here that has little pick locks attached that closed his jacket. He has a black shirt underneath it with little keys attached to his collar. Now, I noticed this before, but in the past I haven’t linked the two together but now I did and what the actual fuck. The keys are from the locks! This is honestly so fucking creative and holy shit, Kurt did it again. He impressed me once more. God, I love him so much.

This is also common practice in Sweden. Dairy cows are kept indoors during the winter, then released into their pasture in spring. The kosläpp (release of the cows) is an annual event usually open to visitors. There’s even an expression derived from it.

it’s so marvelous to me that humans make an annual event of gathering around specifically to watch cows experience joy. the humans are excited that the cows are excited, to the point they make sure the human kids get front row seats, cause they know the kids will be extra excited. there is so much vicarious joy here. how remarkable a world, where we do things specifically for the pleasure of seeing other people and creatures happy.
