Tis an introduction to the me that is I, Schophelael, or just Scribe if that's too hard to remember. Been writing and creating worlds, both original and fanon for just over 14 years now. This blog will be for my Murder Drones fixation/obsession. I cannot promise I will be punctual, nor can I promise that my ramblings will make any sense. But what I can promise is that I'll be the best weirdo I can be. How's that sound? Good? Now that introductions are out of the way, let the mayhem and ramblings commence!

The Premise of the Singularity AU

Aside from being a venue to make another AU that I'm hyperfocusing on till my rolodex brain decides to move on for a couple of months. I wanted to play Dr. Manhattan and start messing with the Murder Drones world, seeing what I could add ant take away from it all. Which comes to the name of the AU Singularity and what it is.

Singularity's Mission Statement

The theory of Singularity in Drones is the idea that they can evolve further than their current state. Since Drones as a ‘species’ had achieved Metastability after Humans started to get exterminated by the Absolute Solver AI. Drones with Solver abilities have an easier time evolving (for lack of a better term), due to the Absolute Solver’s mutations on a Worker Drones code.

Singularity Drones

Singularity Drones the theoretical "next evolution" of Worker Drones. Drones can evolve to achieve Singularity naturally but the process of doing so is currently unknown/impossible at the moment. Alice and Amda have a working theory on the subject but there is too little evidence to prove the idea. In contrast, they simultaneously have just enough evidence to disprove the theory as well.

The “theoretical” natural evolutions of the 2nd and later generations of “free-willed” Worker Drones

While they lack the supernatural abilities of the Absolute Solver and the advanced weaponry of the Disassembly Drones, they are surprisingly more durable than both, even able to touch water with very little adverse effects to their circuitry

They have instead developed new abilities that parallel both the Disassembly and (Recovery) Drones as well as Solver adjacent abilities

They do not have wings instead, they have short to medium range jet boosters for traversal across various types of terrain

Theoretically (according to Amda’s notes at least) they should be able to re-enter planets from space and not turn to slag maybe 

They require oil to maintain their temperatures like the Disassembly and (Recovery) Drones do

To a lesser extent but still a necessity for survival

The body’s build is sleek, but not sinewy like the (Recovery) Drones

Here we have who is quite possibly my favorite character by sheer presence of character alone. Alice is an important character within the Singularity AU and not just cause she's married to Geeves. She's an Absolute banger of mother to Beau and Thia and a great problem Solver to boot.

Yeva is an interesting case, she serves the same role as Nori does, but without the weight of the plot on her. In the story however she's mostly the same, not there due to plot related death. But before that happened, she was quite witty. She and her husband Gregor were inseparable from one another, even before they broke protocol and tied the knot on Czar Delta.

Geeves is one of the main POV characters of the AU. Without spoiling what has already been shown, he was one of Tessa's friends at the manor from when she was still a young child under 13. The events that resulted in him being on Copper 9 are a little involved but he's made a good life for himself. He's got a wife, a couple of kids, and an eldritch abomination gunning for him. He's clearly living the dream.
