I don’t think I should accept other people’s suffering because I suffered. Just the opposite, because I suffered I don’t want others to suffer.

when people try to talk about how honey is supposedly unethical because we’re stealing the bees’ food I’m just like, genuinely curious if you’re aware that the honey we eat is the result of beekeepers raising colonies and harvesting the excess honey while making sure the bees are all good and fine, and that the honey you buy at the store is from a farm and not just like going into the woods and sticking your hand in a beehive like a bear in a cartoon and stealing the wild bees’ honey
There's a devastation among the bee communities. Harvesters, or really, exploiters, don't take care of the hives and often allow them to die each year rather than help them sustain years of growth. Exploiters don't leave the recommended amount of honey to keep the colony going. The transportation of colonies have led to total destruction of the colonies. Humans introduce viruses to colonies that have wiped them out. The honey you buy in a store SPECIFICALLY is part of the problem. People can argue the ethics over local honey if you know the farm and see for it yourself but it's all still exploiting a species for humans taste buds.
I'm genuinely curious if the OP or those who reblogged it took the next step to researching this.
full offense to straight people but the gays own sherlock and every straight version that has or will ever exist is not sherlock holmes and never will be bye
Why do people make shit arguments against queer representation by saying things like, “The percentage of LGBTQ people in the population isn’t that high.” Well neither is the percentage of vampires, but we see plenty of them in our media don’t we?
Reblog if you’ve seen more vampires in the media than lgbt+ people
Spot the difference
One is a dumb joke and the other is Oklahomo.
BBC Sherlock is not a case of lack of representation, but a case of harmful representation. You cannot make up for it by putting more LGBT content in your other shows, you have to address the issue in That show and correct it in case there is another season.
- John, tea. I solved the murder.
This makes me so happy
The unnecessary slaughter of a perfectly healthy, sentient being who does not want to die is always cruel. This should not be a controversial statement on a website where people claim to care about ethics, animals and social justice.
How do you look into the future, see the destruction, the pain, the mass extinction of resources and crisis that will follow, and know nothing you do will stop it? You don't stop trying. You try to mitigate the problems of real people, right now in the present. But how do you heal that pain in your heart? How do you walk around with this knowledge and pretend that it is not the truth? And if you refuse to be silent about it, how do you stay strong enough to keep working despite knowing the enormity of the task and the inevitable outcome?

hey friends, your favorite weird trans frog fan is back with another (slightly more dire) plea for donations. as you may know, I have been offered a place in a graduate program at the london school of economics this coming fall. although I’ve been saving for a few years now and have enough accrued for day-to-day expenses during the program, I recently found out that my federal financial aid estimate was off to the tune of $5000. this means I have a significant funding shortfall and only about 5 months to close the gap. since this is a large goal and time is fairly short, I’m offering any donor of $50 or more a personalized digital bust portrait in the style below. it can be of you, a friend/family member, or a celebrity of your choosing (the handsome guy pictured is alan turing), so if you’ve wanted to see someone you love drawn, this is a great opportunity. just shoot me a message through ko-fi and we can hammer out the details from there. thanks again for all your generosity!!
donations have really tapered off and I have a long way to go, so please give/boost if you can! thank you 💜
Isn’t that awesome? A movie about racism, about social issues everyone is trying to silence has topped $150 million at the box office. I’m not only proud of Jordan Peele, i’m also excited about the fact that people have actually seen this movie that shows all the struggles of black people. The success of #GetOut speaks louder than words. It’s historical for a black director and for black people.
This is why it is important to spread information about missing black girls. This is so horrible. She has been missing since October and if only information about her appeared in the Media , she could have been found. It’s just so heartbreaking.
Sykes, 25, was last seen five months ago and police say she left her Berkeley home and got in a white car. The woman’s family had offered a $20,000 reward for information leading to Sykes’ return. But that lead to nothing because of the lack of Media attention to this case.
Cases of African-American women disappearing seem to be on the rise. And as the Media is ignoring , we need to do our best to spread all the information about our missing girls.

This is so true.
My entire characterization of John Watson in-a-relationship-with-Sherlock-Holmes and how he would look at Sherlock and act in that relationship can just be summarized by:
Let John Watson be Soft
As it turns out whitewashing was not such a great plan
Really? For real? I’m the happiest I’ve ever been shit man let me google that shit
Some Infos i just got: Boss baby debuted with 49$ million, beating beauty and the beast with 48$ million, ghost in the shell made 19$ million so a bit more then the picture says BUT even with international sales bumping it up to 59$ million it’s still a major flop because the original budget was 110$ million THE COMMERCIAL SHIT NOT EVEN COUNTED so yeah it bombed and I am the happiest I’ve ever been
