My name is Thysto/Pluto (He/Him and a side of They/Them (transmasc), born 1995). Scientist by career, but I like to create for a hobby (and play a lot of video games). My special interest is bugs - I catch and display them.

Most of my content here will be for my personal interests, or of my art + writing. I tend to be a watcher more than an interactor, but you can feel free to send me asks/DMs/ect at any time.

And here is my second piece for The Transformers Big Bang 2025! It felt a little bit crazy to handle this one, since the entire thing is done with each section fully rendered behind the mechs as to be printable for a papercraft shadowbox. I ended up having to really think about where each piece would go on which layer while also maximizing how you could see each mech haha.

It felt wonderful to dive back into larger illustrations; this is the first one I've done in about 2-3 years, and I'm happy overall with it.

This time, it corresponds to Chapter 6 of my husband's fic. We've spent a lot of time working on this and stepping outside of our comfort zones; the event has been wonderful for motivating us to get back into hobbies, and the community has been excellent.

And big huge thank you to the mods at @tf-bigbang for running the event and herding the lot of us! Summary:

Before the war, Minimus Ambus commissions the Ultra Magnus armor to escape from his brother’s shadow, and successfully manages to live a double life as an enforcer until the Decepticons attack the Senate and there is no longer any need for Minimus Ambus at all.  After a couple million years in Optimus Prime’s inner circle, it’s a little too late to tell anyone the truth of who Ultra Magnus really is underneath, and honestly, he’s not sure he even wants to. Being handed command of the Wreckers isn’t an easy task, but it gets even harder when his long-lost brother Dominus Ambus is assigned to the team, bringing with him uncomfortable reminders of a life Ultra Magnus thought he’d left behind forever. 

AND have some bonus dev sketches under the cut...

Ref sheets! Last year's Secret Solanoid taught me that even character designs I thought I knew extremely well would be inconsistent between panels without a ref sheet...

My first piece for the Transformers Big Bang 2025!

I made the art for my husband’s fic, which you can read here. This has been a wonderful labor of love for the past several months, and I’m excited to see everything that comes out of this event!

I got to work with the exceptional @zombified-queer for the Transformers Big Bang this year on their Rodimus/Rung/Megatron fic and can’t wait to share the finished artwork that goes along with it. Biggest of thank-you’s to Kwiyatsi for ver patience with these, our mod Aster for keeping me on track, and an additional thank-you to @drazyrohk for listening to the plot bunnies in my brain when I needed to clear my thoughts enough to focus! And of course, “Thank you, Grey!”

This year I participated in the TF Big Bang . Which is totally crazy because I haven't participated in any fandom activities in almost a decade, or drawn any large illustrations in several years.

Thanks to @tf-bigbang and everyone there for hosting such a fun event and community, and finally motivating me to find my love for art again.
