“It’s been fun, we’re enjoying ourselves. Leatherhead was planning on taking me on a small walk but it started raining earlier so that got scrapped.” he chuckled “I think we needed the change of scenery.

AJ held Raph’s hand tightly “We miss you, hon.”

“Aw I miss you guys too, we won’t be here much longer. I think Shawn’s missing his lab.” he joked

Realizing she might have to explain she lifted her hand holding up the necklace he always wore having seen it when she entered the room “You lost the necklace he gave you … and he called me because you couldn’t find it in the cabin” she placed it around his neck before standing up “You were so upset I thought I’d help” without him noticing her magic put him in a better condition clean clothes and better hygiene “So you want to call Raphie?”

Roger smiles as he looks at the necklace “Thanks, Rae.” he then nods a little “Yeah I can’t remember the last time I spoke to Dad since we came here for our vacation.”

“You texted him for father’s day - Leo’s been running patrols like crazy” she pulled out her phone sending a quick message to both Raph and AJ

“Oooh yeah I forgot that.” Roger chuckled a little “Sounds like Uncle Leo, never knows when to take a day off.”

“Yeah - he’s getting better about it but he runs a tight ship” she giggled hearing the phone ringing

Roger smiled a little before hearing the phone ringing, he walks over to it and picks it up “Hey, Dad!”

She mixed the vials giving the potion a shake before handing it to him carefully placed her hand on his head “Drink it - and this will all end…”

Roger takes the potion and looks at it with a small smile before downing it without hesitating “Ugh potions always taste like ass.”

“Don’t worry” her hand starts to glow before she looks into his eyes making time slow to a stop “You won’t notice it in a minute” like that fresh air filled the lizards lungs as she erased every bad memory stemming from the Kings attack and anything that left him traumatized like she had seen AJ do for Raph a while back having perfected the spell leaving only the ones that mattered smiling once he was looking at her again “How do you feel Roger?”

Roger shakes his head a little and blinks a couple times “I feel….a bit better actually.” he replied with a small smile

She acted completely normal and by the time he blinked the room was back in order looking just as a had before “You know - Leatherhead made a great looking lunch for you two you should go see if its ready… Oh and I forgot Raph wanted me to call him his phones acting up and he was trying to get ahold of you”

Roger nods in agreement “….I um…can’t remember why i was sat here.” he motioned to the corner he was in “…Did i lose something and try looking for it??”

Hey I came to check on you” she tried to sound cheerful as the flame split into five smaller flames circling over her as she drew in closer seeing Leatherhead was staying back to not frighten the lizard

Roger raises up his hands “S-Stop R-Raven….please don’t come closer…..I…I don’t want to hurt you….” he said as ice began forming on his hands. it was obvious that it wasn’t him doing it, his powers must have been going haywire due to his emotional state.

She slowed keeping her hands up to show she wasn’t going to hurt him only inching closer to let him see she wasn’t armed in any way “Roger you would never hurt me - your my friend I just want to help you” she lowered down where she stopped kneeling in front of him “Talk to me - Leatherhead said the nightmares got worse…”

Roger nods a little as he took her hand “I don’t want this anymore. I don’t want to be like this, I want rid of them. I want to be a normal lizard guy…..”

Roger sits in the corner of his and LH’s room, tears streaming down his face as he shook back and forth on the ground muttering over and over again “have to suppress them…save my family…no powers…family safe.” 

He had went from doing rather well to back to how he used to be at the start of their vacation at the cabin. Though this time he had gotten worse. He wasn’t sleeping at all, not eating a single bit of food despite trying he’d get so worked up he’d end up sick. 

Every time he closed his eyes and had began to drift off those same horrifying images of his family laying dead, that evil version of himself staring back at him as he killed Leatherhead. Though each time his nightmare would get worse like getting close to saving his family only to fail at the last second.

He hadn’t said a word to Leatherhead in two days.

He didn’t know what else to do Roger had completely shut down on him every time he tried to talk to him Rodger would just stare off into the distance not responding or even seeming like he had heard him

Now he was sitting outside the door and he can hear his fiance mumbling a repeated sequence of words and it tore him apart finally he reached into his pocket pulling out a cell phone and dialing a number

“Hey… I’m sorry I know its late but - I need your help”

On the other side of the line the young woman could be heard shuffling around mumbling something to somebody has she got up out of bed “No your fine - its gotten worse hasn’t it?” he didnt have to say a word before she was gathering her stuff “I’m on my way”

Roger didn’t hear Leatherhead’s voice outside his door as he kept rocking back and forth, muttering the same words over and over again as tears kept streaming down his face.

Within a few minutes a portal opened downstairs the crocodile shifting meeting her at the stairs seeing she had brought her bag giving him a small hug as she passed him heading up to the room “How long has he been like this?” 

“He was doing so good then - the nightmares started and he relapsed last week but now… he won’t move he’s in the corner and if I get too close he starts screaming in my face“ he looked so heartbroken as she entered the room even though Leatherhead had cleaned it yesterday it looked like Roger had destroyed it again the room so dark the girl had to conjure a green flame entering slowly

Roger looked up hearing the door open, he moved a little trying to hide himself from Raven quickly recognising the green flame as hers.
