Ok so this really SUCKS for you guys but I like to world build so HERE WE GO

I love the idea of subspecies in the Wings of Fire dragons, so I have one for SEAWINGS.

These are Arctic seawings, who live a few miles off the western coast of the Icewing Kingdom. Only the icewing fishermen of the rural coastal villages really know they’re there because they work with them every once in a while to hunt. The seawings drive prey towards to coast, into the waiting claws of the icewings. (Local icewings call em sea wolves because of this). Queen Snowfall would’ve torn her ears off had she known there’s seawings working WITH her icewings XD

these guys branched off the main seawing kingdom several hundred years ago, and evolved to live in freezing water. So their colors are a lot duller (grays, dark blues, whites), they’re thicker, and their wings are not able to carry their weight in the air which sucks (they can flutter down from heights, but they can’t go up), but underwater their speed and agility is unmatched (think penguin). They communicate the same way with flashing markings, but there’s an accent because of the slightly different shapes.

This one’s Penguin, a diplomatic representative who travels down to the main Seawing kingdom for meetings pretty often (she HATES the heat, but the corals are pretty)

Saw a thing abt how dragons probably saw knights invading their caves like how people view spiders or moths or something. Found it funny

I know I know this is an art blog and I know you’re all SO DISAPPOINTED that I’m doing something different (who am I kidding no one knows I exist 🥲) but I PROMISE it’s worth it

It’s a golden crowned sparrow! Caught singing a very lovely tune that always sounds like “🎶pretty bird🎵” to me. (Mountains of Alaska) yes I’m AWARE the quality sucks this was taken by my phone (crappy quality) through my binoculars of all things (shaky as frick) but I’m rather proud of wrestling my phone to focus so well through it.
