"You remain a nuisance as usual, I see.”

“I would advise you to back away from that. I’m sure someone like you won’t be able to use its contents in a...productive manner.”
“It would be in your best interest not to interfere.”

“I don’t mean to stare, but...” Karai had only been here for a few years, yet the bizarre sight in front of her defied even the turtles--but only slightly. As it was, she continued her thought. “...you aren’t human, are you?”

“You would be...surprised at how strange the city is. What exactly do you mean when you say ‘strange things’?”
Gonna be drafting a lot of short greeters for the queue, as well as a coupla opens. If you want something longer, do feel free to PM me!

Her sword was out in an instant, her voice firm as she spoke. She could tell that this was an alien, and if aliens were on Earth, there could only be so many reasons why they would be present.
“What are you, and what brings you to this place?”

Well, this was awkward. Thankfully Karai had only been out on patrol with a few of the potential squad leaders--otherwise, their resting would’ve been interpreted as something far worse.
The girl looked Japanese, at least, so it wasn’t like this was a terrible departure from her norm. If the girl recognized the symbol of the Foot, she would know that it was one to be feared--if not, then she’d have to be careful not to find out.
“Forgive us for being startled. We aren’t used to such...intrusions.”
Need to find myself a RL FC for Karai.
Hello hi there!
The three greeters I did earlier were the only ones I did--executive dysfunction and all that--but I do plan to write more at work tomorrow. Hopefully I can get more stuff done for my other blogs since things have slowed down somewhat, too.
If you want to plot, please feel free to send me a message here or on shcllshock. I tend to lurk on the latter during work, so if you want a quick response, that’s the best option! Otherwise I’m here nightly.

“Forgive me, I didn’t think anyone else would be here.” Save for Purple Dragons, anyway. A group of them had gone and sabotaged one of the Foot’s allies, and of course Karai couldn’t simply let them get away with it. Still, she hadn’t expected a civilian to be wandering around...

She’d just seen Raphael a few hours before--surely the terrapin she was looking down at couldn’t be him, this one was too big. Of course, she only actually knew about five mutant turtles (counting Hun), so it wasn’t like there wasn’t a possibility that there would be a sixth.
Save for the red mask, anyway.
Pulling out her weapons would prove to be too noisy, and he didn’t seem to have noticed her yet. Karai didn’t intend to hurt him, considering there was nothing to fight over, but she did intend to get some answers...

Doctor Chaplin, as her closest aide and friend, had the explicit privilege to ask Karai for favors--something that not even the Foot’s clientele had the luxury to do unless they were influential to the Clan’s gains. However, this favor seemed especially odd, moreso when considering the source of it.
A few days ago, a city known as “Beach City” had been detected, thanks to some blog written by a teenager. However, there were beings that intrigued him--Crystal Gems, humanoids that seemed to be influential within some strange happenings. Chaplin had managed to get a documentary made by the blog owner before the video site had pulled it, and so Karai had familiarized herself with the beings’ appearances.
Various colors of skin that distanced them from being human could have been attributed to costumes, gems on their bodies--how could these have been connected to the happenings the blog’s owner described? Of course, the boy known as “Steven” seemed to be of interest, perhaps even connected to these Gems, but she would deal with that later.
“We’re here, Ms. Oroku.” The young woman driving pulled the car into a parking lot. “Welcome to Beach City.”
The Shredder nodded, putting away the tablet before climbing out of the car. “Thank you. I will call you if I need any assistance. I trust the rest of the squad will arrive shortly?”
“Correct.”
With that, Karai smiled and closed the door. There were no need for any other formalities--no, she had some aliens to speak to.
I am his daughter.
