4- frequently discussing movie stuff. might talk over dialogue occasionally

5- it's just nonstop. can't enjoy the film if im not engaging with it!!

I absolutely love the grief Arakawa allows her significantly-injured characters to have. She doesn't pull her punches with injuries by undoing them (except with story-purposes), and doesn't write out Havoc or Lan Fan, but she lets them scream and cry and grieve the change of their bodies and their lives.

Yeah, in the end Lan Fan can keep doing what she originally intended - after a 6 month detour to get a prosthetic - and Havoc is still able to help Mustang with his coup even after he has to totally change his life. But Arakawa doesn't shy away from the gutting feeling of a person's life being radically altered just because she figured a way to keep the character's purpose.

They're allowed to grieve.
