Gisei Master post
Finally posting about the oc for my oc x canon. This is Gisei, my MK oc that I ship with Havik (all versions). The following pieces of art are commissions or gifts over received over the years for her. Below is her lore for the Midway Timeline since I’m still developing lore for the NRS and MK1 timelines respectively.

Midway Lore
Gisei is a chaos cleric born from the Yinasi tribe, one of the two main tribes in Chaosrealm. Her village were people who had a close connection to the water, something that Chaosrealmers hold sacred. She is born of mixed heritage, having a Chaosrealm mother and a Seidan father.
Her father had been a Seidan guard sent to extract water via the water facility. He and many other soldiers were ambushed by Chaosrealmers, and had their minds “freed” with the Chaos pendants. Figuring that he could never live a normal life in Seido, he decided to stay in Chaosrealm.
Although the two tribes of Chaosrealm, Yinasi and Yangese, were always in conflict with each other, Gisei’s life would forever change when her village had been attacked by Seidan guards. They took control of the village, forcing the people to work in the water facilities. In order to protect his family, her father tried to fight off the Seidan guards. Having not learned chaos magic in order to preserve his dignity, he sadly lost his life in the scuffle. This event would fuel Gisei’s hatred for the Seidan guard, though not the Seidan people themselves.
When Gisei was of age, she began to train as a cleric and learned the ways of chaos. She also learned hydromancy, and combined both chaos and water magic. Doing so would allow her to change the properties of water using the chaos around her. She could freeze, boil the water, or even change its chemical properties so that it can be acidic or basic.
With the help of the clergy and members if her village, they would overthrow their Seidan oppressors. Gisei would kill the main captain, and steal the jewel on his chest armor as a trophy. This jewel would become part of the handle of her main weapon, a kris dagger. This would become a habit for her future victims. Meanwhile, the jewels on her earrings are from her father’s armor, as a way to have her family with her always. Her wrappings are not for protection or to cover any flaws, but to keep her face a secret from Seidan guardsmen. She believes that her victims do not deserve to see the face of their murderer so that they may never rest easy in death.
As Gisei got older, she became the high priestess of water for her region. Her main role being that she oversees the protection of the water for her general region of Chaosrealm. Gisei’s name comes from the Japanese translation for sacrifice, 犠牲. Having said that, this plays into her treatment of Seidan guards that trespass into her region.
When Seidan guards came, she would ambush and kill, kidnap, or convert them to chaos via the chaos pendants. On the rare occasion, she would leave one alive to send a message so that they would stop sending guards. For the ones that were kidnapped, she would take them to her water temple, and use them as sacrifices for her rituals. She would cut out their hearts, drain the blood for future use, and eat the bodies with her convent. The armor would be melted down for weapons and jewelry. The jewels would be saved to made into jewelry, since she has a huge fixation with Seidan stones.
Lore with Havik
Just as a preface, this is going off of the headcanon in which Havik was previously a Seidan guardsman before being a cleric.
Gisei had seen Havik, who was a captain at this time, bring in a squad of guards to do their usual scouting and water extraction. She ambushed and attacked them, but left Havik alive. She noticed he had a handsome face, and found him to be amusing. He stayed, having created a base for his Seidan operations.
Over time, Gisei wormed her way into his life more, spending more time and sneaking into the base. Despite the security, it was fairly easy. She slowly started to teach him about the ways of the people, their ideals, and why they believe water to be sacred. She seduced him, believing it would convince him to rebel against his superiors and stop the water extraction. Little did she know that she would be falling for the captain.

Over time, they had a secret romantic and sexual relationship, with Havik slowly slipping into chaos, wanting less and less to do with the Seidan guard. It would all culminate into Gisei freeing his mind with a chaos pendant, having done so with his permission. He is the one and only other guardsman to have seen her face.
As the midway lore goes, Havik spent centuries learning the ways of chaos, eventually becoming a well respected cleric.
Chaosrealmers canonically do not practice marriage, as it means they have to bind themselves to another person. Gisei and Havik are not married, but they do act like lovers. Both of them have their own respective lovers outside of the relationship of all genders. It just so happens that Havik is one of, if not, her favorite lover.
Bonus!
Very very long post, but I’d figure I’d actually write down and explain her lore LMAO. For funsies I included her voice claim for her Midway version. I hope you enjoy!
