Secular VS Religious: This one is pretty self-explanatory. The majority of the time being a witch does not affect the religion that you practice. If you do not feel like religion is in your path, then you do not have to use religion in your practice. You can be religious and have your practice separate, making your practice completely secular.
Solitary VS Coven: You can choose to be a solitary witch and practice on your own. Alternatively, other witches can belong to a group called a coven. Covens tend to practice together and use their combined energies to complete workings and spells.
Air/Fire/Earth/Water Witch: These witches feel very attached to their element and use this element in thier practice. They can be associated to this element through their zodiac sign or just through energetic connection. They tend to use their chosen element in a lot of their workings through multiple methods and sometimes work with deities associated to their chosen element.
Cosmic Witch: A cosmic witch works mainly with planetary and cosmic energy. They use astrology and the moon cycles in their practice.
Crystal Witch: Crystals are commonly used in this witch's practice and they use the energies from the crystals in their practice. Their practice ranges from crystal therapies to charms, to charging the crystals in their chosen method (e.g. sunlight or moonlight).
Draconic Witch: This is one that I find extremely interesting myself and I am currently researching at this moment in time. These witches work with draconic spirits in their practice. Draconian magick is, by definition, magick that is fuelled by the symbolism and energies of Dragons.
Earth Witch: An earth with is very deeply connected to the earth element; they use a lot of nature in their workings, work with earth deities, and most likely will use things that they have collected from nature within their workings. They tend to be very centered individuals and if they develop their practice they move very naturally between the natural world and day to day world.
Eclectic Witch: Eclectic witches tend to pick aspects of different paths/traditions and use these to form their own unique practice. Because of this, no eclectic witch's path will look the same.
Elemental Witch: Elemental witches work with all four elements and sometimes fifth, they consider the spirit element and use all of those throughout all of their workings. They are not more associated witch any specific element as they use all of them.
Faery Witch: These witches work with the Fae. They leave offerings for the Fae, set up altars for the Fae, and the fae help them in their magical workings.
Gardnerian Witch: Gardnerian witches follow a sect of wicca. The Gardnerian religion was set up by Gerald Gardner and is a closed religion.
Green witch: Green Witches work very closely to nature through working with herbs, tree spirits of any nature gods/goddesses. It is possible to be a green witch in a city - you just need to find the right environmental spaces for your practice.
Hearth Witch: Generally a combination of green witchcraft and kitchen witchcraft, these witches are sometimes referred to as cottage witches. This witchcraft surrounds the home and hearth of the people within it. Their practice tends to be only done for the home using things around their home and for the people in their home.
Hedge Witch: I find this type of witchcraft very interesting as these witches walk the hedge between the spiritual world and the real world. This is a very traditional folklore type of witch.
Hereditary Witch: These witches have family members that are also witches who have passed down their craft through their lineage. This does not just mean being born into a witch family. They can also have spells/rituals/grimoires etc that have been handed down through the family.
Kitchen Witch: Kitchen witches do a lot of witchcraft (as you probably guessed) in the kitchen. They use a lot of ingredients and spells in their cooking to serve to people in their home. They also can use their food to bless the people that eat this through different herbs/ingredients and intentions.
Lunar/Solar witch: Lunar witches are deeply connected to the moon and lunar cycles. They can include things like the tides and the moon cycles in their workings. They tend to feel very energised by the moon. Solar witches however are deeply connected to the sun and like to use the sun in almost all of their workings.
Pop Culture Witch: This witchcraft is relatively new from what I can gather. They use pop-culture in their witchcraft. For example, using incantations or sigils found in movies/tv shows.
Sea Witch: Sea witches are closely connected to the ocean and currents. Different witches can be associated with different bodies of water (e.g. river witchcraft/lake witchcraft). Sea witches generally live close to the sea and have a particular ocean that calls to them. They tend to collect ocean water, seaweed, seashells, etc and use these in their workings.
Seasonal Witch: Seasonal witches do their workings and practice in correlation with any season. They can be tied to a specific season if they choose to do so. For example, spring witches would use a lot of blooming flowers and rain water in their workings.
Sigil Witch: A sigil is a symbol that you can draw on things. There is a lot of intention behind this and you do usually have to make these in a particular way through putting thought and effort behind this.
Storm Witch: This is very self explanatory. These witches use storm energy in their practice and workings. I am currently researching this practice and will most likely post more about this in the future.
Tech Witch: This is a very modern form of witchcraft that involves modern technology. For example, using apps to track different parts of your practice.
Urban Witch: Urban Witches use city surroundings and the lights/sounds in the city in their witchcraft as apposed to using nature.
Do you feel magic has a lot to do with how much you know yourself and how versatile you can be?
I feel that magic is definitely helping me grow as a person and figure out things in my life. I used to have a lot of toxic people in my life so magic is definitely helping me process things and deal with things mentally. I’ve started to keep crystals on my person to help with anxiety but as I’m still learning I want to make sure I know a lot about a working before I fully dive into it.
What is the most important thing to you when you study things that you wish to learn?
The most important thing for me is to research the cultures behind what I’m learning. I’m not part of any closed practices so I don’t want to end up accidentally doing a spell or working that is part of a closed practice. I also want to make sure that I’m as respectful as possible when learning about other cultures etc.
Also, protection. I’m a very anxious person so my main things that I’m learning at the moment as a beginner witch are protection and self-help things

This candle spell is designed to use the energy of fire to assist in a sick individuals recovery. Keep in mind that the patient should still be receiving medical treatment from a doctor and that healing spells are to be used in a supplementary way and not as the only form of treatment.
The spell will require 3 Blue candles, Thyme oil, Eucalyptus oil, Tea Tree oil, Life Everlasting Flowers, Myrrh resin, White Copal resin, 3 different pictures of the individual (they can be hand-drawn if need be) and some kind of personal concern attached to them such as skin flakes, hair, fingernail clippings, used clothing excetera.
Cleanse each of the candles with Florida Water cologne or Frankincense smoke. Carve the first and last name of the patient into every candle. Bore a hole about 1 inch deep into the bottom of each candle. Add 2 drops of each essential oil, a small piece of Myrrh, a single Life Everlasting Flower and a small piece of the personal concern (for example if you were using used clothing you could cut out a tiny part of it) into the holes. Fill the holes with wax and use a lit match to melt the wax down. Slam the bottom of the candle down on a hard surface and move it back and forth until it has flattened properly.
Start burning the White Copal resin on activated charcoal. Place the 3 pictures of the patient on your altar. Place a candle on top of each of the pictures. Light the candles with a match and say the following prayer 7 times-
"Ancestral Spirits, Hear My Plea, Bring This Person Deliverance From Illness, Do All In Your Power To Help Them Become Well, Open Whatever Roads May Be Opened On The Path to Wellness!"
Spend an hour with the candles and then snuff them out. Allow the Copal to burn out on its own. Repeat the process of lighting the candles and saying the prayers in the same way every night until the candles have burned all the way down. Wrap up the remains of the spell in clean linen. Place it somewhere close to the patient if possible. You can also bury it in the patients backyard. You can also bury the remains at a crossroads. Some of the wax from the spell can be made into the shape of a heart and placed in a magick bag along with other healing items such as Clear Quartz Crystal or Eucalyptus leaves. The Zodiac is made up of 12 constellations;

The Sun Sign
The sun sign sheds the most light and has the most influence on who you are as a person. Every 30 days the sun travels through each constellation of the zodiac; it takes about a year for the sun to go through all of the constellations.
The Moon Sign
This refers to the position of the moon at the moment of your birth. The moon sign can give you a deeper understanding of your subconscious. Some people think that the moon sign is a reflection of who you are deep down.
The Rising Sign or Ascendant
The rising sign or ascendant sign mean the same thing. They are the sign that was rising up from the eastern horizon at the time of your birth. This is the sign that you most look like on the outside.
Your Birth Chart
Your birth chart includes your sun, moon, and rising sign as the first 3 signs and allows you to work out how those elements work for you. The next part is the planets. On a birth chart you will see the planets set up like a wheel. You'll se the 12 zodiac signs and where the planets are in this wheel as well as the different energies that they are associated with. For example, mercury is communication, Venus is love, Mars is motivation and conflict, Uranus is changes and technology, Neptune is hopes and dreams, Jupiter is luck and learning, Saturn is boundaries and any external factors that are outside of your control, and Pluto is power.
The 12 Houses
On your birth chard you will also see the 12 houses that are set up around the wheel. These give you guidance on certain aspects of your personality and life experiences. When sorting out the houses on your chart, you want to find the rising sign - this is your very first house - and then from there move clockwise to see where each sign falls.
1st house - Your outward behaviour and appearance.
2nd house - Material wealth and money.
3rd house - Communication
4th house - Home and environment
5th house - Creativity, romance, and pleasure
6th house - Health and work
7th house - Partnerships, marriage, and/or long-term enemies
8th house - Change and transformation
9th house - Study, travel, beliefs, and spirituality
10th house - Ambition, career goals, social status, and reputation
11th house - Hopes, dreams, and friendships
12th house - Self-sabotage, self-imposed limitations, secrets and accidents.
