Hello Again

It’s been a while. A few months actually and a lot has changed. 

First off, one of the biggest changes is me finally accepted who I am. I’ve struggled with gender identity for years, and I had forced myself to be content with what I thought I was versus letting myself be who I really am. So, I’m coming out as transgender, pronouns he/him.  Second change is my mate and I have a house of our own!! Took a while to get internet out here, but we did it XD 

Lastly, I hadn’t had much shifting past couple months, minus a cameo shift with red panda. But it’s slowly fading and wolf is coming back strong and in full blast. I’m not sure if my subspecies is arctic wolf. I’m looking in to it, but nonetheless, I am wolf. 

I hope to post again soon, keeping a regular schedule going and interacting with fellow therians, as well as Pagans as I’m practicing again.

So you wanna make your own incense?

You've come to the right place sweetness. For clarity's sake I want to specify that I am not a professional. This is simply what I did to make the incense that I use. Always research your herbs and herbal mixtures, be aware of your allergies, and remember to use herbs from high quality sources to protect your health. And remember, the best witchcraft is safely practiced witchcraft.

What you'll need: Herb of choice (no correlations listed here, otherwise we will be here all night)

Coffee grinder (or a mortar and pestel, but baby we are in the 21st century work smarter not harder)

Tap water (charge it if you want for extra pizzazz)

Optional: oven, preheat to 190 degrees Fahrenheit

Step one: grind up your herbs in the coffee grinder, the finer the better. My herb was food grade lavender.

Step two: Divide the ground herb into two separate bowls, a wet bowl and a dry bowl. Into the wet bowl, mix into the herb with some water so the consistency is a modable clay. Sacred water is great for this.

Step three: Form the clay into a cone shape in any way that makes the most sense for your body. For me, that involves using my thumbs and middle fingers, but whatever way works best.

Roll the wet cone into the dry bowl, coating the cone in a layer of powdered lavender.

You can either leave the cone to dry over night, alternatively---

Place in oven for 40 minutes to an hour to dehydrate the cones!

Ta-da! I hope these directions inspire you to give this a shot yourself. I know I had a lot of fun making this lavendar incense, and I know I'm excited to make more in the future. Don't stop creating lovelies.

I'm questioning again but not my wolf identity, but the subspecies of wolf I am.

I'm questioning tundra wolf at the moment because it was the very first instinctual identity I knew when I awoke back in 2007. Immediately with zero hesitation, I accepted being a white wolf (arctic or tundra). Right now, I identify as a Eurasian grey wolf but, even while looking up photos of them, I will often find myself drawn the random white wolf image that's slipped in. When I see a photo of one, I get that feeling of recognition, like the feeling  you get when you see yourself in a mirror.

But I'm struggling with the thoughts of "I don't want to be just another white wolf". Even though in the wild, there are packs of nothing but white wolves found in the arctic, in the northern tundra, etc. It's not uncommon but I worry about the outside views of others. I know I shouldn't, but I can't help myself and it plants seeds of doubt into my mind.

I dunno if I'm looking for advice or just wanted to get this off my chest. Either way, feels good telling someone this.
