Been quiet for a while, and I am hoping to find a new twitch schedule. Ultimate goal would be to visit all 50 states and Canada 😂 If I’m stuck running for zombies may as well run from them all over the country. Wow it’s been a long week. Got stuck in Chicago for a few days cause of the snow and then running around to do various errands. But we’re back at it here! Went over a few times that one of my top priorities and getting my cats, but I also have a snake and fish. Unfortunately they would be a bit more complicated to keep and maintain. In that situation, I’d release my snake a western hognose that could do alright in my area but my bettas and corys I would humanely euthanize and bury them. As sad as it sounds, their quality of life wouldn’t be good with no power and no access to clean water. My cats I would try to keep around as long as possible but if worse came to worse I’d release them to the wild and let them fend for themselves too. No I wouldn’t make them into food if there’s other options Of course no one wants to think about these kinds of things, and it’s definitely been on a lot of people’s minds with the power outages and freezing temperatures in Texas. The most important thing is doing what you can for them and keeping yourself safe should be top top priority! Definitely would be getting home and collecting my cats and all the food I have. Stopping by my parents house and seeing if they’re still alive, if they’re not raiding the pantry and garage for more supplies and then getting back to the escape room and creating a game plan for getting it ready for winter and getting all the exits barricaded and prepared for a secondary exit. Before a few weeks ago I’d never thought I would like audiobooks but they have massively helped me read while on the go! Currently listening to saves the cat! Writes a novel by Jessica Brody. I really like that it pulls actual examples to explain each beat and has been invaluable in helping me think about plotting my book. The very first scene that I have planned in my book will take place on a pier with a Ferris wheel. Imagine yourself enjoying the perfect day at the pier when the zombie apocalypse comes to a head, what would you do? A snippet from a writing sprint I did tonight for practice. Check out my Facebook for the full scene! What’s a scene you’re writing right now? Take 15 minutes to write something and tell me about it in the comments! Eyes scanned the upcoming street corners. The ground was slowing going from flat to an incline, and it was putting a bit more work on my calves than I would have liked. But I knew the incline would slow them down even more. The sounds of the fervent moans and yells. So enticing for their prey. Not for me though. There it was. A blue sign that may have once said 'Dave's Bar' but the white lettering had long since faded away and the weather had taken a lot of the wood with it. Just after the sign was an alley and I didn't slow down as I took the corner on my heel and ran for the fire escape that would take me to some freedom.
