I have a question regarding a funny plothole from Episode 5. During the opening scene at Soulsberg, we see Dr. Wilson joining the local uprising by killing one of the Foundation guards. General Marcus even caught Wilson in the act of that murder! So, why was Wilson seemingly not punished for openly betraying the Foundation? He still has his job when we see him again in Episode 7. How did he manage to bullshit his way out of being disciplined for his anti-bureaucratic outburst?

Aside from the Plague Doctor and the Salesman, will Episodes 8 and 9 feature multiple other SCPs (not specifically asking which ones they are)? Also, do you guys (Bung and Orion) have any personal favorite SCPs, or any particular scips that you're interested in depicting for future Confinement videos?

Nothing in further episodes are set in stone but I Orion like the teddy bear, while Dani really likes the more melancholy scps rather than the ones that try to be scary.

Without spoiling too much, who are Minerva and Apollo? Are they affiliated with the Foundation? And is it just me, or are they meant to vaguely resemble Lord Bung and Vegeta from Dragon Ball respectively?

I can’t get too into it but Minerva is associated with the foundation yes. Apollo, however… ;)

Also no I designed Apollo and I hate DBZ (cope and seethe) and Minerva is just Prebby lady :)

I'm just wondering, how close is Episode 8 to being completed? When do you expect the episode to be released on YouTube? Also, will the NSFW Patreon version be publicly available, or only visible for patrons?

We have a certain amount done that you can check up on in the discord or by being a patron. Patrons get updates as we make them (usually like an hour or so after the writing and animation team get them lmao) and we don’t know how we’ll release just yet.

look, ik that a couple of the recent questions have been lgbt related but will there be more canon bi characters in the future or aro and ace characters possibly?

Nothing set in stone but we may have some if the cards fall in that direction! We don’t plan entire seasons more like have moments we would like to include or idea flow charts so one of our characters may turn out to be Aroace or Bi! For us it isn’t a checklist, just whatever comes naturally.

Are there any canon autistic characters in Confinement?

Apollo is autistic <3 personally I think Connor is autistic as well but Dani at the very least doesn’t know whether to canonize that or not just in case as not to be disrespectful but personally I see the coding 👀

I’ve been rewatching the confinement series bc I was feeling nostalgic after talking abt scp stuff w a friend and I haven’t joined discord so I’m not rlly in the know abt any recent stuff and i literally just found the confinement tumblr today and saw refs to them but I can’t find them in any of the eps

Yes! Apollo is a character in the near future that will be extremely important, so keep an eye out for the little guy!

This updated design lineup was made before we decided to split the next episode into two, but in order the characters are Minerva, Dr. Wilson, Connor, Natalie and Apollo!

Connor is in a unique situation right now where Connor is Not Straight but is still discovering himself :)

Natalie is bisexual

Apollo is Pansexual and though gender wasn’t in the question, he is also Non-binary!

I don't know if this might be a stupid question, but how did you get to work on Confinement? I love the series, and would want to contribute to it with my own artistic abilities too if that could ever be possible!

I started working on the show because I’ve been friends with Dani since before confinement and was actually scheduled to work on an episode of Bung Chronicles before that stopped being a thing. (I still have all the unused concept art 😭😭😭) unfortunately we aren’t really looking for more people to work directly on the show, but we appreciate the enthusiasm! Any and all fan works are greatly appreciated so feel free to tag me in your various fan arts and theories :)

The expression! We really get to explore a lot of the queer experience through Connor and eventually ( 😉 ) Apollo and it’s just so refreshing not having to pull punches in the representation that we put into the series. It’s so fun writing these little queers.

Hi, anon really made me think of a question when I saw what they said.

okay so, let’s say, it gets age-restricted, would bung make a more censored version considering how YouTube is these days. (Demanding people their literal ID *coughs* EXTREMELY PERSONAL INFORMATION THAT NOBODY WOULD TRUST WITH GOOGLE) especially considering the wait. I’ve loved confinement for years and I still love it but there might be a lot of accessibility problems now especially for fans in the UK. They age-restricted episode 4 and it would really suck to see an episode we’ve all been waiting for get age-restricted and that a lot of us might never be able to access it. /nm

There will be two versions of the same episode don’t worry! We will have a censored one for YouTube and a special one for adults, most likely through our patreon. We will have a version on YouTube that isn’t missing any super important lore or story beats and one that’s for adults who enjoy silly funny penis slapstick! Don’t worry about missing content, the censored one will still be funny!
