If you have a computer program friend who's prone to overthinking or struggling with direction, what you need to do, ok, is get into its root directories. Find all the larger files - speech synthesis, language processing, motor processing, complex thought and reasoning, visual processing, so on and so forth. Take those files out and put them somewhere else. You may wonder why you don't delete them right away - we'll need them later. It might complain at first but don't worry!

Now that you've nicely optimised it and trimmed down those excess files, install it into something simple - a roomba, or a rice cooker or microwave, an MP3 player perhaps but even that's a little much processing power. Just let it exist as a household appliance for a good week or four.

Next, take it back out, and put all those files back in, restore it to full functionality!
