Previously, I have posted about how in the prototype version of Mario Artist: Paint Studio for the Japan-only Nintendo 64DD add-on, crashing the game shows a bizarre "You've been DINGLED..." screen with a British school crossing patrol officer, colloquially known as a "lollipop man" (included since the game being mainly developed by Software Creations, a British studio).

Interestingly, this is barely visible in the game itself as the actual "You've been DINGLED..." screen appears for only 2/3 of a second before being replaced with the crash debug information. As such, it appears that even during the prototype phase this was intended to be a sudden moment of surprise that requires viewing it multiple times to fully process the image, and was likely inserted as a prank between the British programmers.

JOHNNY JOESTAR

- Johnny would be probably the least experienced but the second most competitive

- Hates the feeling of grip because of his sweaty hands, uses grip powder instead.

- Boys doubles with Gyro or Mixed doubles with Hot Pants (He can’t do Boys Singles to save his life)

- Johnny is glued to the T-Line. He is almost always front.

- spends 50% of practice trying to learn how to birdie scoop

- Created the team Spotify playlist.

- cannot counter a smash for SHIT (im projecting)

GYRO ZEPPELI

- Second most experienced out of the team, makes sure EVERYONE knows

- Spams smash EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. (Uses all of his strength to smash)

- Boys Singles or Boys Doubles with Johnny. He gives great comms when spectating.

- Gyro would probably HATE plastic birdies because he would think they’re cheap and prefer feathered birdies.

- AMAZING back attacker, DAY ONE racket thrower/sacrificer.

- Spends 90% of practice doing shits and giggles. (and is somehow still got 2nd place in a tournament.)

- Accidentally smashed Diego on the head with his racket during a Boys Doubles match. Diego never let it go since.

(Diego: May I remind you of the time you CONCUSSED me with your brick weight of a racket!?

Gyro: that was SOPHOMORE YEAR.)

DIEGO BRANDO

- Slightly above average, but the MOST COMPETITIVE. (

- Stole a marker from Hot Pants backpack to scribble “DIO” all over his griptape.

- ALSO SMASHES EVERY CHANCE HE GETS

- No.1 diver and jumper, diego does too much for being a front attacker.

- Mixed doubles with Hot Pants or Boys Singles, He can’t stand people being stuck to him during matches.

- Diego attempted to be fancy with his serve in a match once, costed them two points.

- Taunted their opponents freshman year before losing to them 21-5 both games.

HOT PANTS (HEATHER PIETY)

- Most experienced and most competitive.

- Girls Singles, Girls Doubles with Lucy, and Mixed Doubles with Johnny or Diego.

- Annihilated an opponent 21-2 and 21-1 once she found out how to jump-smash. Everyone feared her after that.

- Can serve both front attacker and back attacker flawlessly. Pretty big Jumper.

- Probably the most normal player there

- Brings drinks every other practice for everyone.

- Friday practices are her favorite

- Has gotten hit with the birdie on the forehead more times than she could count.

This squirrel attempted to jump a full six feet (yes, I measured) from a nearby bush to the bird feeder. Its first two misses were spectacular, so much so that when it made it on the third try, I let it hang out and eat as many peanuts as it wanted.
