Courtney is the IT girl of Total Drama Action. This girl sued the production to get back onto the show, won invincibility like seven episodes in a row, absolutely trashed a hotel room in ten seconds, beat up like ten killer sharks in order to win a challenge, had a sexually charged relationship with her ex (she’s still not over him), and was actually willing to let people die if she didn’t get what she wanted (the episode with the wire cutters and grappling hook). They really went to the trouble of differentiating her approach to each Traveler in their 2D art. She's pulls Lumine in close and has a hand around her waist! She can't even bring herself to hold Aether's hand even in a friendly way, she had to hold his wrist.

That dude in her quest was teasing her about preferring the company of women and HoYo wanted to drive it home even more.
