finished the dreamer trilogy like a month ago and, wow.

im still recovering. it was so fucking good. the plot was immaculate. i already loved the characters i knew, i fell for the new ones and im constantly thinking about everything that happened and how intricate the world ms stiefvater created is. just wow. and it hit different reading mr impossible in the middle of an ai panic crisis and wanting to destroy data centers.

it’s a masterpiece, and i’ll probably reread it multiple times in my life like some people do with the little prince.

the whole ecoterrorism plot filtering out to ronans look for a mentor and a friend who understands and then filtering to ronan is a god from another plane of existence but also he’s a boy i guess had me doing mental backflips and don’t get me started on the fucking fire and the moderators in the fucking deposit and fucking nathan and do not even try with the sweet meals and jordan and declan my most dearest boy

coming back from the Big Internet Sabatical i’ve been on for like six months just to say that I fucking HATE BRYDE.

you’d be surprised to know that i’m just now making my way through the dreamer trilogy but i am.

I read TRC in spanish as a teen and then CDH came out i couldn’t wait for it to be translated and i thought i understood enough english so i bought it and i did not understand what was going on. I read it and finished it but not a single scene from that book stayed on my memory, i just went through it like it was nonsense. I still bought mr impossible tho, not sure why.

Now, like four or five years later I finally know enough english to be able to understand all of the grandiose prose of ms stiefvater, and I know some stuff about the books, like, I’ve loosely spoiled myself but I fucking hate Bryde man, like he’ll be saying stuff that makes sense and then he patronizes them and treats them like children, and what’s worse is that HES BASICALLY A CULT LEADER omfg i’m at the part in mr impossible where ronan dreams the phone and this bitch is like do you really think your family and your boyfriend want to talk to you? they’re glad you’re out of their lives because you make them miserable and I just expoloded like i wanted to throw the book across the fucking room i’m killing this bitch

Ok so, Dreamer Trilogy reading update:

-finished mr impossible, i dont hate bryde as much, like yeah he did what he was dreamt to do and hadn’t spent enough time in the world to form new ideas he believed

-started greywaren, im like 10 chapters in and im devastated abt Adam saying goodbye with Ronan in that state but like I don’t know how much I can blame him. At the same time im just so sad like fuck don’t leave him like that. I have faith and hope that they’ll be fine eventually, I don’t know how but whatever. I mean, Adam tried to call and text but Ronan had yeeted his phone, and then he tried to find him in his dreams and Ronan shut him out, and then he kept trying and searching for information and figuring out everything that was happening and there’s so much one can do for the ones they love. Adam was never someone that tried to manhandle Ronan, he refused to parent and try to control him like Declan and Gansey had done, and before everything else Adam needs to build a life to escape his previous one, his world only partially revolved around Ronan, he has his own stuff going on and he’s been trying so hard, but everyone has a limit

-Declan. Oh Declan. My sweet boy. I love him so much. He’s become one of my favourite characters of all time.

-In the first book I was really fucking annoyed by Carmen cause I lowk didn’t give a fuck abt her but she’s grown on me, I don’t dread her povs anymore and actually I find her and her character arc very interesting.
