i just checked wikipedia and the 2007-2008 writer’s strike was only 99 days long. the strike that shows up in the wikipedia pages of every show from that era with a blurb on how it affected shooting and release schedules.

we’re on day 113 of the current strike, with no end in sight.

I'm making peace with all of the shows I like that are currently airing either not getting an ending at all, or having shitty next seasons. I support the writers and actors, I support the strike, and I think it's really important that we get our mindset straight now, because going by the results of the previous strike it's not going to be pretty and it's 100% the fault of the AMPTP refusing to negotiate in good faith and pay their workers properly.

I’ve had to fucking explain this to parents. Why can’t the baby stop crying? Because that’s the only way the baby knows how to communicate -- they’re trying to tell you something. Why is this child acting like the world is ending because they lost their favorite toy? Because they’ve never experienced loss before -- this is the worst thing that’s ever happened to them in their lives

Children have all the emotional capacity of adults and none of the experience in learning how to cope with it. A knee scraped for the first time is the worst pain a child has ever felt. Not getting to go to the park is the greatest injustice ever.

They’re responding proportionally to the event from their life perspective. Children actually don’t over react, like ever. They just feel everything so much and have so little reference to weigh it against.

What is with the ubiquitous stainless steel cups in this last season of Love Is Blind and now Ultimatum? Did the company who makes them foot the entire bill for both shows? Because they’re in every single scene. They even got the people on the show using them when they’re out at restaurants that obviously have their own cups. It’s comical at this point.

I kept bringing this up as we were watching it!!!! Just why!??!? It was especially annoying because from bar to restaurant to bar the cups kept following and it didn't make sense. If it was product placement ok, but there wasn't any brand on the cups so who knows where they bought them from. I think it just made me hate the cups more🤷🏻‍♂️
