Long time no see! Happy to be back again this year for the D:BH Big Bang! This will be the first of two posts from me!
I had the pleasure to work with @kamari2038 again this year for their fic âThe Lost Oneâ along with the talented @aye-toast ! I had such a great time working on this and am beyond pleased with what we came up with for our respective parts of this yearâs @dbh-bb!
I opted to draw one of the opening scenes and had such a blast doing so. Without further ado, here is my piece for this year! (Click on the image for better quality⌠tumblr ate it đ)

In accordance with tradition, 2026 will be the year of the Reverse Big Bang, and this year, we offer the stretch goal of a Reverse Mega Bang to all teams that think they have it in them!
The rules this year are very simple:
We will be opening sign ups for both artists and writers on March 9th, and they will close April 6th, giving you four weeks to get your name down!

Another bud burst open, revealing a blood-red rose. It was as if every message Connor ignored breathed new life into the Zen Garden. Still, he desperately wished Amanda would choose a flower of any other color. Roses came in yellows, blues, purples, nearly every color in the rainbow; yet she insisted on saturating his mindscape with this hideous red.

Strangely enough, it wasnât the action of anyone there, but a commercial break that seemed to
snap time back into place. The television shifted from the Pistons game to an advertisement for
cat food, and the meows of the kitten on screen woke Sumo, who lumbered over to the
television, his ears attuned to the sound.
âSo is it true that dogs donât like cats?â
âNah, Josh. Sumo loves kittensâ Heâs probably just confused about why oneâs trapped in the
tv.â

The little girl blinks, taking a step back, but sheâs swept up in Karaâs embrace. Alice becomes motionless for a moment, but then tentatively returns the hug. She lets her arms drop when she becomes tired, and Kara takes a step back, migrating her hands to Aliceâs cheeks and admiring her while kneeling beside her. Aliceâs eyes remain wide and perplexed.

I'm so excited to finally debut the first of my three illustrations for the 2025 Detroit: Become Human Big Bang! This is ZeliaTacho's childhood friends AU for reed900! I'm so proud of the work I did with them, and I can't wait for all of you to get to read this story! If you enjoy tender moments, childhood sweethearts, and some delightfully heart-wrenching longing, read it HERE!!

At the very back of the property, the robot stopped as its optical units captured an unusual sight. Dangling from the fence was a sniffling human child. The little boy struggled to free himself, his shirt caught on the wrought iron fence, until the shirt ripped and the child tumbled to the ground near the path. There were no protocols for how to handle this unexpected variable, so the robot defaulted to observation as it took careful steps closer to the boy.
The young boy had messy brown hair and slightly tanned skin that indicated he spent many hours outside. Despite falling, the boy did not seem upset about being hurt or even the torn shirt. Instead he frantically scrambled across the ground until he came up close to where Number Nine had stopped to observe. It was then that the little human seemed to realize there was something else in the yard.
So many thanks go to the lovely mods at @dbh-bb who've made all this possible! Without all of your hard work, none of this would have been able to happen.
This year promises to be another incredible turnout from our writers and artists alike. Our first check in is coming up starting June 30th, and we plan to have plenty of support in the discord server for writers and artists alike.
And it's not too late if you want to join the server, get in on the hype, and offer support as a beta or backup! Just join the server and let the mods know in your introduction so we can get you the appropriate roles.

@kamari2038 and @qrjung worked together to create one story from two perspectives, set in an alternate, human universe where Kara and Luther are bound by the red string of fate, and have to deal with their pasts, and the possibilities in their future.
Striking Cords (Luther) by @kamari2038 gives Luther's side, while Striking Cords (Kara) by @qrjung gives Kara's side, and we highly recommend both.

He glanced at her, finding her fully focused on the broadcast.

He sighed deeply. âWho?â he asked softly, although he already knew the answer.
She gestured between herself and Markus. âThe human us.â
âWe ask that you recognize our dignity, our hopes, and our rights. Together, we can live in peace and build a better future for humans and androids. This message is the hope of a people. You gave us life. And now the time has come for you to give us freedom.â
The broadcast cut out, perfectly cut as if a professional was behind the camera themselvesâand not the hodgepodge of androids Kamski suspected. âWhy?â Anyone else would have been confused by the question. Chloe, however, was different. She always had been.
âYou keep the photo on your bedside table, even after all this time. When I bring you your morning tea every day, itâs in a slightly different spot.â She nodded at the TV, the afterimage of Markus burned into the screen. âI donât remember much of him anymore.â
Markus was no longer there; the android had been replaced by nervous human news anchors. Let them be scared. He shook his head at his own thoughts. These people were innocent⌠for now.
ââthe operation was covert and resulted in no casualties. These events took place just a few feet from this studio. But nobody was alerted to the danger.â
They did it. They got their message out without death or destruction. Markus would be proud.
