Today I have some adorable sea slugs for you. They are so varied and colorful that you could probably fill an entire pokemon generation with designs inspired by these critters.

Posts will be vastly out of order as I dig up many old things, but I hope you'll enjoy them regardless. Anyways here is a turnaround of Hornet from Hollow Knight.
Hey there, it's been a hot minute since I last posted here, so it may take me a little to get things rolling again. Regardless I'm excited to have a format that allows me to craft longer entries and share more about and around my art.

Majora’s Mask Replica #02
Having left off last time with the finished 3d model I was hit with a bunch more questions.
Due to using an FDM 3d printer, I’m always left with a lot of visible lines as a result of the print process. If you are dedicated enough and got the time to spare you’ll be able to get rid of them with a lot of primer, sanding and filler to patch up imperfections. But I got to be honest, that was not exactly something I’ve been looking forward to.
So I decided to make these imperfections part of the design and go for a rough, weathered effect on the mask.
I’ve been experimenting with something similar on a previous project while creating a replica of Aku Aku from Crash Bandicoot.
So I brought the model over to Zbrush to add some extra detail.

Majora’s Mask Replica #01
With the trees beginning to lose their leaves and Halloween edging closer every, day my excitement keeps growing by the minute.
Which is almost a bit strange as Halloween isn’t widely celebrated where I’m from.
Then again who can blame me? Candy, critters, creepy creatures and costumes - I'd say that makes it clearly the superior holiday!
Anyways beginning of the month my company announced they’ll be holding a Halloween party, so obviously, I decided I’ll need a proper attire to fit right in with the ghostly and ghastly, but what could it be?
After some brainstorming, I remembered how I’ve always wanted to have a replica of Majora’s mask, but I got to admit that my past attempts have been rather rubbish.
So it had been decided I needed to redeem myself and finally create a decent looking mask.
This time around I’m luckily not alone and will have my trusty 3d printer to help me out.
But before I get to print anything I’ll need a 3d model first
So I jumped right into Blender and within an evening of work, I had a decent looking mask.
However, I soon realized that I would need to be able to see through the thing if I’m not planning to run over all my colleagues during the party.
So I had to make sure the holes in the mask would like to with my line of sight.
After taking measurements of my face, I had to do quite a bit of adjusting while keeping the spacing of the elements close to the official artworks.
As you can see in the comparison picture I needed to bring the eyes quite a bit closer to one another.

Another little doodle because I felt like messing around and I needed my daily fix of odd-looking little froggies.
Nothing much today just a cute little feathery ball I doodled for a future project.
Got this little guy finally painted. So much time spent on sanding, really have to find a better alternative. Anyways I think I'm happy with how it came out and can't wait to design more.
Inktober Day 9 - Screech Sometimes the soul of a dead horse which has been left at the roadside to rot gets stuck in a tree and transforms into this yokai. They are harmless, though drop from time to time out of trees while screaming and whinnying. #inktober2017 #inktober #ink #yokai #creaturedesign #sagari
Inktober Day 8 - Crooked This yokai was once a chinese-style oiled-paper umbrella. They are said to be harmless but can surprise humans by sneaking up to them and licking them with their long oily tongues. #inktober2017 #inktober #ink #yokai #creaturedesign #kasaobake
Inktober Day 7 - Shy Even though looking much like a child these yokai rarely interact with humans and are said to be quite shy. The do like however to cause mischief from time to time and steal umbrellas to wear them as hats. #inktober2017 #inktober #ink #yokai #creaturedesign #amefurikozo
Inktober Day 6 - Sword Tengu resemble large birds of prey with human-like features. Occasionally they can be seen carrying weapons which they have stolen from humans. They are hoarders and like to collect trinkets and other valuables. #inktober2017 #inktober #ink #yokai #creaturedesign #tengu
Inktober Day 5 - Long With its razor sharp beak and claws this yokai has just a single goal in mind to cut its victims hair. They often hide under roof tiles or lurk in dark alleys waiting to surprise their unsuspecting prey. Back in the days they were widely feared as long hair was a symbol of status. #inktober2017 #inktober #ink #yokai #creaturedesign #kamikiri
Inktober Day 4 - Underwater
The Amabie is a kind of three-legged mermaid or merman sporting a beak, long black hair and a scaly body. They are said to prophesies diseases or plentiful harvests.
Inktober Day 3 - Poison
IThis yokai has many appearances with the most common forms featuring an ox head or body mixed with demonic feature. All forms however share their cruel nature and poisonous breath and love for human flesh.
