a thing about me is i basically never notice a wig or other kind of hairpiece in tv/movies. it has to be party city territory for me to even twig it. people will complain about characters' wigs looking bad and i will nod along but there is like a 90% chance i did not notice for a second while watching. i consider this mostly a blessing.

I really hate the narrative I see around the conflict between Santos and Langdon. It’s always Santos needs to get over it. Santos needs to stop holding a grudge against Langdon.

It’s so frustrating that it’s always framed as her having to be the one to do the work and change when it was Langdon who committed a crime and tried to derail her career to cover it up.

But he apologized! Did he though? Did he own up to being in Robby’s ear her whole first day trying to get him to fire her because she was onto him? Did he apologize for actively gaslighting her and downplaying her knowledge and skills? Or did he just say sorry for being mean and think that would be good enough? Especially when that apology came after taunting her while working with a patient together. ‘I’d be happy to teach Dr. Santos’ sounded a lot like a veiled threat of retaliation to me.

So maybe we should be putting it on Langdon to put in the work to earn her trust and respect rather than saying a young woman who reported her male superior for misconduct should just shut up and smile already.

I feel like some people need to relearn Genre Expectations... "Man, this tragedy sucks!!! Why didn't they just do XYZ, then everything could have ended happily!!" well, then it wouldn't be a tragedy, would it. "Man, this lighthearted teen romcom is terrible, it's so sappy and unrealistic!!" Well, yeah. If it had been gritty and dark, it wouldn't have been a lighthearted romcom, would it. Is the writing actually bad or are you just trying to order a milkshake from a Home Depot
