ALASTOR
¤ Alastor deeply cares about you and this is nothing new. He normally isn't the physical affection type so he tries to show his love for you in otherways. And some of those wyas include letting you relish in your love language.
¤ It was quite a while ago when you two started dating and had the "what's your love language" talk. When you brought up that yours was quality time and all he did was hum, noting that information for later. You didn't think much of the question and moved on.
¤ Soon he was inviting you to be with him through small tasks. Like visiting Rosie in cannibal Town, picking up something for the hotel, and more of small errands that was an excuse to have you at his side. He did enjoy your company alot, even if he was silently reading beside you or snickering at a joke you made.
¤ After a while you noticed this pattern and felt even more closer to Alastor. You found it sweet that he showed his care for you by praising your love language. Everytime you got to spend time with him you practically jumped for joy. Alastor was amazing company to have, always understanding if your in the mood to talk or just sit in silence. He'd bring you small gifts whenever you two had a scheduled hang out.
¤ And he made sure that his gifts were things you liked. Don't like flowers? He'd give you old timey sweets. Don't like sweets? Then he'd get your favorite snack. He never failed to put a smile on your pretty face.
¤ Even when he's irritated, he'd still never say no to you being with him. He'd crash out in his room with you calmly sipping tea and reading one of the books he gave you. On his bad days he never takes it out on you. To be honest you actually help him calm down with your presence.
¤ Once after a long ass day, Alastor had lost at a fight. He was grumbling and growling about how weak those people were. Not paying him any mind, you swung your legs off the side of his bed and admired his room. No matter how many times you've been in there it was always fascinating to you.
¤ Taking note of the silence, you turned your head to see him huffing heavily. His eyes were still radio dials when he looked back at you, antlers grown much more prominent. Sluggishly walking over to you with his head down again. You watched his features turn back to normal by the time he was standing infront of you.
"That bad of a day hey?"
¤ Your attempt to lighten the mood went unanswered. The feeling of a head on your shoulder made you gasp softly. Alastor was never the affectionate type but when he was, it was always on a bad day. Feeling his chest heave heavily while his arms wrapped around your waist, you embraced his back gently.
"I love you."
"I know, I love you too Al."
SIR PENTIOUS
▪︎ Sir Pentious was obsessed with you. Everyone knew it, even you did. So when it came down to spending time with him as much as possible- it was quite easy. He made sure he was spending all his time with you, whether that meant you were watching him tinker with his machines or you were playing with the egg bois.
▪︎ Due to not spending alot of time with people during his life and not understanding social cues- he couldn't function 1 hour without you beside him. Just having you around made him feel all fuzzy and happy inside.
▪︎ Although Sir Pentious was and bit excessive with how much time you two spent together, you learnt to be fine with it. Loving your adorable snake boy being utterly inlove with you.
▪︎ When you told him that you loved spending time with him then it became even more extreme. One night you got jumpscared by him staring at you while you were asleep. After that you told him to not watch you while your asleep. However he found other ways to get away with it...
"Pentious..."
"Who's Pentiouss? I am obviously a lamp!"
"Sweetheart I won't go away in the morning..you can let me sleep on my own."
"I'm not Pentiousss! But I'll- uh passs that on to him for you!!"
HUSK
♤ Husk does care. But if you didn't know him then you'd say it looks like he doesn't care. His expression neutral 24/7 and always short for words. But that's not the husk you saw. You saw the softer side of him because he trusted you.
♤ Behind closed doors he wasn't completely different but there were some differences. He'd smile more, be more flirty, and even let his cat like instics show. Out in public he was extremely neutral but had a few moments here and there. He'd have a straight face while you laid comfortably on his lap during a hotel residents meeting.
"So what's your love language sugar?"
"Oh! Quality time."
"...that makes alot of sense now."
♤ Husk was anything but surprised when he learnt you valued quality time. You followed him around the hotel all the time and even sat at the bar daily if you weren't busy. Not to drink or to tell him something important, but to enjoy his company. When you first sat at the bar and did nothing Husk thought you were having a hang over. After a while he got used to it, often sliding you a glass of something he knew you liked (alcoholic or not).
♤ When he ran out of a certain ingredient he'd hop out of the bar and grabbed your hand while you two walked over to the hotel storage. Either way you would have run along with him so you may aswell hold his hand while doing it.
♤ When you two first started dating, Charlie would put you two on little errands so you guys could have alone time. And Husk can't believe that he's saying this but they actually helped grow your relationship alot more.
♤ He appreciated that you'd take time out of your day to reteach him what it means be loved and show love. Its been a while since he had shown any affection so having you patiently by his side made his afterlife feel like heaven. Who cares about the pearly gates when he has one amazing s/o with the brightest and most beautiful smile he has ever seen.
I think you can tell the favoritism...I'm trying so hard not to show it 😭 but my test went well!!
