POLICY ON THE USE OF MY WORK
DO WHATEVER YOU WANT FOREVER* *seriously, put my songs on your playlists, in your videos, record covers, fuck around and cut ‘em up and remix them and publish the works on your own platforms! Use them in your short films, or improv performances, your open mics and talent shows. Take lines from them to use in your own songs, your poems, your short stories! Write the lyrics out in calligraphy, put them in zines, write them on the wall in a public bathroom. Go crazy! Do whatever you want, you don’t have to ask my permission. When I put out a song into the world it doesn’t just belong to me, it also belongs to you, and to everyone who wants it! I appreciate credit and I’d love to see what you make if you wanna send it to me, but truly do what you want with it, make it yours. As Chumbawumba said in the world record longest album title “THE ONLY THING YOU CAN DO TO MUSIC THAT WILL DAMAGE IT IS NOT CHANGE IT , NOT MAKE IT YOUR OWN, BECAUSE THEN IT DIES, THEN ITS OVER, THEN ITS DONE, AND THE BOY BANDS HAVE WON”
