honestly. Its not the best thing joining the inquisition, but at least its better than sleeping again on cold grounds where it reminds him of his own childhood.

 “How about tomorrow? I don’t tend to use so much ingredients, especially when travelling. I can go hunt for new meat tomorrow.” he’s being practical about this since he worries about the state of their stock right now. It is a traveling sort of journey after all.

She took a bite and schooled her features to display only the most dainty dislike. “I see… this would be a family recipe, then?” Avoiding his eyes, she took a long drink of wine, praying that she would at least retain whatever nutrition lingered in whatever lump of charcoal she was choking down. “Here’s to Queen Granny.”

 Thankfully she was dead when the coup happened, but that doesn’t mean he misses her to the extreme again. He misses all his family, and as remaining heir of the throne, having renounced his ties to the chantry to gain heirship again... 

 “Oh no, its something I came up on the spot.”

A surprise, indeed, although Kaaras was sure the surprise was far more on his side than anything else. He stood up straight at the sight of Sebastian before he tucked a hand behind his back and bowed.

“Prince Sebastian,” he replied in greeting. “What a pleasure to see you here.” From his years in Starkhaven as a captain to the Bares-taar, he had been familiar with the Vael family. 

“I would be honoured.” He gestured for Sebastian to take the lead, offering him a friendly and professional smile. 

And thats how he managed to get the inquisitor into tea time. truly his charisma is both a blessing and a curse, a leftover from his times as a manwhore within Starkhave youth. 

 “Its a very nice day, I’m surprise your still here and not adventuring into the storm coats or finding new elven artifacts.”
