The rooms weren't as worst as I was imagining. It was actually bigger than those of madocs'.
For the sake of internet people (like us) who search everything before giving a go on something, here are the pictures that I have. Hope it will help you decide which room to choose when admitting at PGH.
Big Private (Renovated) - 2k/day
(I don't really have good pictures of this room. We usually avoid taking pictures because mom was a bit uncomfortable with the idea of taking pictures.)
But as you can see, there is a ref and a flat tv. The lamp beside was not working because there was no light bulb.
There is a huge cabinet and a counter where we put the mask box and alcohol.
There's also an additional watcher's bed and a blue long chair (which I don't know what it's called) where I usually lay down to sleep. I just don't want their stainless chair because it easily gets too cold or too hot. The knob on the left side belongs to the cr. The cr has a very wide mirror, a counter, shower (but no heater -.-), and of course, a bowl.
You have to surrender one ID to the nurse station to get a remote control.
The view. That long line (if you could see), is the LRT.
Gumanda lalo yung room diba? :D
The 7th floor lobby, where I usually go if I want to call my dad or my sister or my cell group leader.
Small Private (Renovated) - 1.6k/day
Well, as you can calculate, the 2k room is too expensive. So we chose to stay in the small private. It doesn't have much difference compared to the big private. It is just, smaller.
(Sorry our table was messy =p)
Unlike in big private which is double in size, we only have one cabinet in this room. But it can still cater all our stuffs.
One of the problems we encountered in this room was there was no cable channels and the tv signal was terribly bad as seen in the picture. We already reported it yet they did not resolve it. But don't worry! If ever you got this room, I already fixed it. (haha!) It is now as clear as what we have at home, though it still has no cable.
Ssshh... Mokona is sleeping. There, my favorite stuff toy on mom's bed. The bed was a bit old. But don't worry again! We asked the DPPS to change it to a newer bed (the same as that of 7th). So you could enjoy a much comfortable sleep. :)
The chair. It was also changed because it was already fragile.
Our place for almost 3 months.
Ze bathroom. (shower curtain not included, go buy in SM Supermarket for only 79 php)
It's still pretty spacious, eh?
And what's the use of the hospital room without this? The oxygen source! (Or whatever they call it.) with the lamp which we used at night.
There was also a fumigation so we had to transfer to another room. We stayed there for 3 days and went back to our previous room.
Small Private (Newly Renovated) - 2k/day
It has the same area, everything's new: wall paints, flooring, table and chair, etc.
Wrong estimation. The tv was not attached in a manner level to the eye. The tendency is you will have a stiff-neck when you are sitting in the chair and you want to watch.
Wild mokona appeared again! Notice that long chair was changed too? Of course, it is more comfy than the old chair.
This time, the shower curtain is included in the bathroom.
Though it is smaller than our cr in the other small private room.
I love the color and pattern of their floor. It looks so neat.
When we were transporting back to our old room, I noticed this room with the door opened and took the opportunity to peek in.
(Not sure with the room rate but surely it is below 1k.)
I think it has 4-6 beds inside.
Take note that rooms with the same rate does not mean they have the same orientation or wall painting.Their rooms usually have mint green, cream and purple (I think this is in their big private - newly renovated).
