Apollo hitting the Kristoph
This is not my art, but I commissioned @/commander-spaceboy! This drawing is super cute and I am very happy with it!! Please check out his art :)
ok the dual destinies obsession begins
Give a man a leaf and he will eat it. Teach a man to leaf and he will go away
im sure someone already made a post about it but i came across a ublock origin add-on that blacklists around 950 AI websites and disables AI overview âïž so u can be free from seeing AI in your search
Your irregular reminder that you should have ublock origin installed for a significantly better internet experience. advertisers have tried to make it as shitty as possible; fight back! Give yourself an online experience worth enjoying!
loved that one secret ending where the pale dude becomes your roommate
incapacitation
content warning
drugs that make a character woozy and disoriented. slurring words and falling slack, everything too heavy and confusing and muffled
blown pupils, wandering eyes, breathing too much or too little. sweating, shaking, puking, so limp and pale itâs almost like theyâre dead
fevers so high a character's mind just turns to mush. glossy eyes tracking the ceiling, listless and unaware until eventually there's sweat sticking all over the sheets and they start mumbling some vague responses to caretaker's questions
tranquilizer dart that brings a character down all at once. one sudden jerk or look of confusion, not enough time to glance at it much less pull it out before eyes are rolling back and they collapse into the dirt
tranquilizer dart that comes on slowly. pulling it out and running and running until each step becomes too uncoordinated, stumbling or getting dragged along by a teammate until even their begging to stay awake, let's go, becomes hazy and distant
struck so hard that everything rings in one ugly roar. staggering or falling, told to sit down, just stay down. so confused and lost, repeating the same questions and forgetting the answer over and over and over again
character so messed up they struggle to follow any part of the conversation. everything too heavy and confusing and muffled, just useless and incoherent and completely oblivious to the situation
nervous prodding or pleading by caretaker, begging them to just stay awake or focus
jostled around by captor, told to get the fuck up and follow orders, easily manhandled and restrained
mumbling nonsense and spilling secrets. stoic characters without any masks, so confused and broken and vulnerable, slipping and powerless in every sort of way
"you're okay, i promise you're okay"
âah, shit. youâre a messââ
âI guess you wonât remember this anywaysâŠâ
gaze drifting and blank, too faraway to track anything caretaker/captor is saying. nudged and prodded and pleaded at to no avail, just incoherent and out of it
too weak to move. beaten absolutely senseless or bleeding all over the place, a character just hurting and spent beyond means sprawled flat against the ground
getting dragged along or stepped on, pinned down as if they're in any state to go anywhere
hypnotized and stunned into mindlessness. repeated mantras and rewired thoughts, a character made pliable and blank and used like a puppet
paralyzed but fully aware, left slack and useless and desperate with limp muscles and depressed breathing. assumed dead and abandoned, grieved over or dumped aside like a corpse, forced to watch and unable to do anything
poisoned and just getting worse and worse. teammates desperately looking for a cure while character deteriorates, puking and passing out and getting high fevers, hallucinating and begging for relief
characters taken out of commission when they're otherwise the strongest one. exposed to a weakness, given magical restraints or cuffs with neural suppressors to keep them docile, targeted and taken out
vertigo taking a character side to side, brought down and useless
Whumpee who finally allows themself to let go and accept Caretaker's comfort, but they are Stoic/Defiant/Whatever so they do not break down into sobs, they don't cling onto Caretaker desperately. No, that's too sudden.
Instead they just lay their head on Caretaker's shoulder, nothing more. They tense up only a little bit when Caretaker starts petting their back, but they can finally relax. Their breathing slows down over time.
From the outside it doesn't look like much, but both of them know how out of character this is for Whumpee and just how desperate they must be to reach out like this. They probably won't talk about it afterwards. But at least now Whumpee knows that if they ever need to let go, they found a safe space for it.
i love a character who's very strict about maintaining their perception of someone who is very self-disciplined, controlled, walled off, stoic, etc. getting into a situation where they're drugged/hypnotized/dosed, or even just accidentally let themselves get too drunk or high after a tough day and the other characters finally get a glimpse of character A with their guard down.
Do the characters take advantage of A in this state â purposely ask them questions they know they'd never get the answers to if A was of sound mind?
Do they simply watch, amused and slightly shocked, seeing A being so loose, relaxed, silly, touchy, open etc. and just enjoy it while it lasts?
I just adore a stoic character showing a rare moment of vulnerability, specifically when it's caused by a lack of control over themselves and what they say. Every one knows A is going to wake up the next morning moody, unable to look the others in the eye, pretending it never happened.
One of my favourite tropes is when a whumpee is on the run from some kind of large group (government, private military, whatever).
Perhaps they can hear sirens getting closer, perhaps they think they might have escaped, but they're still running, trying to get far enough away to find somewhere to hide
They turn a corner, only to come face to face with the very people they're trying to avoid. Do they surrender when faced with the impossibility of escape? Or do they turn to run the other way - only to be met with more people blocking every exit.
Now surrounded, do they fight back? Going down kicking and biting even though there are too many people to fend off? Or do they slowly raise their hands, too exhausted from running.
Maybe someone forces them to their knees, maybe they're marched into a waiting vehicle at gunpoint, maybe they're knocked out before being dragged away.
But at the end it was always useless trying to run.
when the character who's like "i will never reveal my trauma to anyone" gets a high fever and, while weak and delirious, starts spilling every.
last.
secret.
When Whumpee misconstrued one of Caretakerâs questions/concerns/casual comments to be something they are sorry for/ should be apologetic about or that Caretaker meant for them to stop doing that thing or was being demeaning about it.
âYouâre bleeding!â âSorry! Iâm sorry! I wonât get it on anything!â
âDoes your ankle hurt?â âI can still do the [thing Caretaker asked if they wouldn't mind doing]. It doesnât hurt that bad.â
âYouâre snifflingâŠ. Are you crying?!â âI promise I wonât be loud! I just canât stop! Iâm sorry!â
âYouâre breathing a bit loud. Is your rib hurting again? ⊠WHY ARE YOU HOLDING YOUR BREATH?!â
âYour room was a bit warm today. Is that how you like it? I sleep hot so I would end up sweating all night with my heater on that high.â (A few nights later) âC-Caretaker? Is.. is it alright if I t-take the blanket from the couch to m-my room t-tonight?â âOf course! How are you still cold when you're room is so hot? Are you feeling well?â WHY ARE ALL YOUR WINDOWS OPEN?! ITS WINTER!!â
âYou sure are hungry! Looks like your appetite is coming back.â âIâm sorry. I didnât mean to take too much. I wonât eat tomorrow to make up for it.â
âYour hair looks different!â âI know⊠I'm sorry. I didn't really like it in [old-Whumperâs-favorite-style] so I changed it. Iâll change it back though, 'cause I know it makes me more pleasing to look at. Iâm sorry.â
"Why are there bandage wrappings in the garbage?" "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to take your supplies without asking! Its just that one of my stitches opened up and it wouldn't stop bleeding."
I live for angry, paranoid and anxious whumpee whose emotions and too complex for them to handle so they lash out at everyone around them.
When caretaker tries to comfort them they spew curse words and tell them to stay away from them or they will give them a reason to never come in contact with them again.
I love it when caretaker canât look at the scars that litters whumpeeâs body because if whumpee sees them he shuts down for days and will not speak to caretaker because they feel appalled by their own appearance.
And donât get me started on their lack of trust in their caretaker because whenever whumpee eats and something in the food tastes off they immediately move to a bathroom to empty the contents of their stomach out of fear that caretaker has attempted to drug them to make them pliant.
Everyone one around them is a threat and they donât want their pity because it makes them feel dirty and weak.
A whumpee who breaks, who folds under the pressure, cracks because of the torture. And now that their captors know every secret about their team, they don't even bother patching up their wounds; they are let go. Or rather, kicked out, with the blood still caked to their face.
And when they return home to base, they find carnage. Their team is decimated. Those who are still alive are frantically tending to the many wounded.
No one has time for whumpee. Only to hiss at them: "Traitor." "Weakling." "Coward."
But whumpee is injured as well, not to mention they pretty much crawled back here, walking for miles with broken bones and deep cuts threatening to infect. But the medics have their hands full. And certainly don't want to waste their supplies on a traitor.
characters apologizing for things they have no control over. mumbling sorry while losing consciousness. feeling ashamed of a bleeding wound. embarrassed when an infection sets in. deep seated feverish guilt when they need to be carried, when their legs won't keep them upright anymore and they lean heavy on a friend, slurring apologies..........
