New round of stickers going up!
La'hana fey/feyself
This is La'hana, fey owns the clothes shop "Rags And Bags" - the very same La'hana who one of my players recently convinced that they started the rumour about humans pissing on themselves to cure a jelly fish sting! I really drilled him hard during the role play to see him squirm a bit, and it was extremely fun!
New artwork for the RPG, and a logo to go with it!
Just me emerging from the mist with some merfolk artwork for the RPG campaign - the players are having their first festival: The Day of Arrangement, where the citizens of Atlantis collect the remains of their loved ones that have been returned to the eco system and arrange them into sculptures in the mausoleum. Rundowns of the campaign so far can be found at the see creatures website!
If you're wondering what the teardrop shape is, it's the melon (a fatty deposit in marine mammals that assists with echo location). Making art like this maybe isn't the most productive way of pushing this project forward, but it's good for me and helps set the tone and enhances immersion for the players, so imo it's worth while
See Creatures RPG
During my annual January hyper focus I've been creating an RPG based on my card game, I'm at 15,000 words in two weeks and enjoying it immensely. My second draft is almost ready for play testing and my players are getting their characters ready with the players handbook, absolutely stoked to see them!
This is a piece of art I've made of the Atlantis temple to set the mood and help the players visualise their environment.
I've been sprinkling the ocean masters guide with world building facts to add some flavour too, I feel like it's important since what I'm presenting is brand new and having context for the world people are playing in is super important.
"Merfolk are more muscled than their land dwelling counterparts, with thicker skin to ward off some of the cold. In the early days Merfolk relief heavily on magic to stay warm but this became less and less necessary over time." - A History Under The Sea, 5th edition by Lemire.
Finally got a decent printer! This is gonna look great on the front of my Ocean Masters folder
Very ill atm but managed to work on this today! not 100% satisfied (more like 90%!) gonna rest and come back to it with fresh eyes
Design is a process! Gave my brain a rest and went back to it with fresh eyes
As a neuro-divergent person with trauma, both recent and historic, I find it difficult to maintain long term focus on projects. See creatures is a wildly different story though - it's now been a full year since I first had the idea and it's been an amazing form of art therapy after a violent encounter with a neo-nazi. It made me happy when nothing else could. Every card is a mini project, every task that needs to be done is different from everything else and that's helped me maintain focus I think. Game design really suits my particular flavour of neuro-spice!
Nudibranch (noo-dee-brank)
A type of sea slug! I think this is my personal favourite of all the cards I've designed 🩵🧡
The inspiration for it:

New friends!
Did you know See Creatures is full of LGBTQIA+ references? Made by a queer person for queer people, I wanted to celebrate our culture with a wink-wink grin!
Play with yourself! Did you know you can play See creatures as solitaire? I used to not have many friends, and so thought that buying games was of pointless - but you don't have that problem with See Creatures! Check out the rules here How To See Creatures – See Creatures
