Tov, formerly known as Sam Draver, is 18 years old and resembles Avan Jogia. They are a Seeker as part of the Hosts.
“Go through the worst to reach the ecstasy. I never thought that it would feel this way. You never taught me how to heal the pain. I wish you caught me on a different day when it was easier to be happy.” - Objects in the Mirror by Mac Miller
Tov was born as Sam Draver in New York, where he lived a fairly nomadic lifestyle with his mother and two sisters. His father had died when Tov was fifteen from a bullet wound, but the family had pushed on, carrying out West through Minnesota and the the Dakotas. He was fascinated by the bodies of water he explored along the way, and taught himself and his family how to swim, which often came in handy when avoiding capture by the Seekers. Sam never felt the pressure of his assumed role as the man of the house, and instead fit it nicely.
However, his family was traveling along the length of a river when Seekers attacked. In the confusion of the moment, one of Sam’s sisters - Julia - fell into the river, which had a fast-moving current. Ordering his mother and other sister to get out of the area, Sam dove in after Julia, but the current knocked him into a rock, where he split his head open and fell unconscious. The Seekers fished him out before his lungs filled with water, and while his mother and sister got away, Julia disappeared down the river.
Because he was wounded in the capturing process, Sam awoke on the operating table with a start, but this time he was Tov. His mind was uncontrollably racing with memories of Sam’s family and his near-death experience, and the overwhelming wave of painful visions caused Tov to black out again. When he awoke for the second time, he was in his apartment, where a Seeker offered him aspirin and a debriefing on this new life. All the while, Tov couldn’t help but feel like Sam wasn’t going to die easily.
Tov, angered by these human emotions and by the visions of a family Sam loved, became a Seeker himself, traveling down the same river where his body was captured. He carried out farther West, towards Washington, hunting down their trail. And while Tov never found Sam’s family, he did find the Hub, where he was caught trying to call in back-up after ambushing a group of citizens. Now, their prisoner, he fights back every chance he gets, knowing that they will kill him if he doesn’t get them or get out first. He cares only about himself and his survival, but can’t help but be tormented by Sam’s emotions and the memories of a life he once lived.
+ Courageous, Tough, Focused
- Aggressive, Reckless, Disrespectful
Sexual Orientation: Open to Player Preference
Aware of Black Market and Tunnels?: No.
Grayson Tate - The two clash often thanks to Grayson’s constant taunting and baiting. While the two go at it more than anyone else, Tov also knows that Grayson has a soft spot for him, if one can even call it that.
Rita - Rita and Tov are impressively good friends, trusting each other more than any of the other Hosts. Perhaps it’s because they’re both reckless and spirited, or maybe just because those qualities get them outcasted a lot, but the two spend a solid chunk of time together on a regular basis, talking about life before their captures and their opinions on various humans. They’ve even made a promise to each other that, should one of them make an attempt to escape, they’d include the other person or come back for them.
Devin Stone - Tov has no clue why Devin even bothers coming around, especially as often as he does, but it’s a chance to get the hell out of his cage. Devin likes to take him out to explore The Hub and explain everything behind the systems they have set in place. Tov is grateful for this, and almost feels bad knowing that he’s going to use this info to escape one day.
Avery Candor - Avery is the reason Tov was captured. After ambushing a group of civilians outside of The Hub that were under her supervision, he let her out of his sight, and she called her commander, Saskia, for backup. Tov despises Avery and attributes his lack of freedom to her weak human mind. He wouldn’t mind seeing her taught a lesson in who not to mess with.
Veronica Jackson - Tov doesn’t understand the things he feels for Vee, especially when she beat the shit out of him once, but the closest idea he has is a memory of Sam’s first kiss. Maybe this is a crush. Maybe she just hit him too hard too many times. Whatever the case, he either avoids her or taunts her whenever she’s around, deciding that as long as punches are still thrown, he’s safe from these human emotions.
