Hót töpîc rant
Last time I went to Hót tõpìc they started taking away non clothes before entering the dressing room (understandable) but then THIS time they COUNTED. This lady took my clothes and COUNTED them. I go into the dressing room and guess what I see. FUCKING PRICE TAGS AND PACKAGING FROM THEIR PRODUCT. If you're going to shoplift don't be fucking messy. Learn what a real tag that's going to set off an alarm looks like. YOU'RE RUINING SHOPLIFTING FOR EVERYONE ELSE BECAUSE YOU'RE A PUSSY. My hót tòpîc used to be a gold mine and now it's just a mine. FUCK OFF AND CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF AND GROW UP! FUCKING LEARN BITCHES!
Thank you

Lifting Tip For If You Get Caught!!
So what you do is you put the stuff you want in your bag, make sure no one sees. Then walk around the store, or even buy something if you want to. Then leave the store. If you get caught, then act confused, and then act like you remember. Say something along the lines of, “oh my god I’m so sorry! I was using my bag as a shopping cart and i guess I forgot I had stuff in it.” If you have the money, then pay for the items. If you don’t, then act like you’re searching through your bag and then say, “turns out I don’t have enough money. Sorry for wasting your time.” Then get tf out and don’t come back to that store for a couple days or weeks, and maybe even change your appearance a little bit.
i literally do not care if lifting is morally wrong or hurts people. i genuinely couldnt give a fuck if i tried. i want shit, i’m gonna take it. life aint fair & i aint gonna be either. breaking the rules got me farther than followng them
this tip tho!!!!!!!!
I need to try this for trips I only bring a carry-on to.
I use to do this all the time in the military. Just forgot how to over time o.o
I wish I’d known about this when I was homeless.
I could’ve taught it to all the other ladies at the shelter and Darlene could’ve sucked a sour one because she never would have been able to bitch at us for “having too many clothes.”
reblogging this to have it forever because holy god damn
heyy, i know i have like 0 followers but i still have a lifting tip i'd like to share with you all 👀
• go to maps and search the store you'd like to lift from. tap on the store icon (1st pic, yellow) and a tab (1st pic, teal) will pop up on the bottom of your screen. click it.
• click on "overview" and scroll down a bit. click on the day you want to lift on (2nd pic, red). it will show when that specific store is most and least busy on that day (2nd pic, orange)[note - if it's the same store but in a different location, it might have different stats]. it will also tell you how much an average shopper spends in that store (2nd pic, purple).
• you can also click on "photos" and there might be some pics of interior, you could see some camera placement if you're lucky.
okay this is kind of a mess but i hope i helped somebody 🤠🤙
info on my booster bag
hey liftblr!
if you remember this post i made a little while back, you might be aware that i recently purchased a “faraday bag” meant for protecting your mobile phone/tablet (product linked here) from radio signals used to extract/plant data. my intent was to use it as a booster bag, and i figured i would give you all a little update on how that’s worked out for me, since a few people seem interested & i think it could help other lifters!
first things first, here are the dimensions of the bag:
(the bag itself, with a regular hook tag for scale)
(here it is when it’s folded—it’s about 1.5” thick. i fold it and usually shove it down the back of my jeans so it rests against my back. paired with a loose sweater over it, it’s actually pretty hard to spot.)
you can fit a REALLY decent amount of tags inside this thing, though it does get harder to fold the more are inside. i would estimate, while folded, it can comfortably fit 10-15 tags without getting too bulky. if you stuffed the thing with disregard for bulkiness, i’d approximate you could easily fit 40-50+ tags inside, maybe more. i got the tablet size* for 70 USD, and while it is pricey, i’m really pleased!
*they also sell a cell phone size for 50 USD, which is a good deal smaller, but i’m sure you could still fit a few tags inside, and it would also be easier to conceal on-person.
i’ve tested it at the following stores, and been able to pass through the entrance* (with tags inside) incident free:
- although not a store, it worked on my iphone, lol. putting it inside makes it unable for calls or texts to get through, and when you bring the phone out, there are a few seconds before the phone “pings” with a tower that you can see it still reads “no cellular service available.”
- forever 21
- pacsun
- lululemon
- sephora**
- urban outfitters
- h&m**
- aerie
- aeropostale
- victoria’s secret/PINK***
*while i can’t concretely verify that all these stores actually had towers/working towers at that, i know for certain that the towers at urban outfitters worked, as well as the ones at VS/PINK. i did my testing at a relatively upscale mall, so i would assume all stores would be adequately prepared with LP measures like working towers.
**i did not conceal tags directly from these stores, but the tags i had on my person from other stores did not create an incident at these places.
***this one is a bit of a special case. i walked into the VS side of the store with tags concealed in my booster bag and the towers did NOT go off—i know for a fact they were working, however, because a woman beeped on her way out (and subsequently, an SA searched her bag). however, upon leaving the PINK side of the store with tags from PINK/VS inside my bag, i did beep. more on this down below.
here are the types of tags i’ve found success with concealing in my bag & walking out with:
top left: clam tag from UO
top right: ink tag from F21/pacsun
bottom left: hook tag from lululemon
bottom right: hook tag from A&F
now, here are the tags that may have given me a problem:
i believe all of these are from VS/PINK, though i’m not entirely certain on the tag with the wire. these tags were the ones i added to my bag while inside of the VS/PINK, and subsequentially the ones that must have made me beep. upon entering a kate spade store with the same assortment of tags in my bag, i also beeped on both entry and exit.
my lifter friend (who was there at the time) and i tried to brainstorm reasons why these tags might have made me beep. note that we made sure i hadn’t left any tags/hidden RFIDs in my purse or on the merchandise i had concealed on my person. here’s what we were able to come up with (keep in mind that neither of us know jack shit about the science behind radio signals and whatnot):
- it’s possible that one or more of the tags in the picture above uses a frequency that was not blocked by the bag? i believe this would be possible if one of the tags used a radio frequency <600MHz or >5 GHZ. just gonna put it out there that i have no ideas what those numbers mean, but on the website, that‘s the range of frequencies the bag claims to block. the same case could be made with other kinds of signals the website lists that have some kind of range associated with them.
- again, just putting it out there that i have NO IDEA how radio signals or otherwise work, but maybe the amount of tags in my bag created a combined signal strength that overwhelmed the bag? i don’t even know if signals can do that, but if they can that might be an explanation. after i started beeping, we went back to my lifter friend’s car and ditched all of the tags inside the bag before continuing (cautiously) lifting. for the rest of the day, we were careful to ditch tags as frequently as possible to limit the number inside the bag, just in case this theory had any connection to why i beeped.
that’s all the information i can give you about my bag. overall, i’m SUPER pleased with how it’s working out for me—i’ve been able to steal upwards of $1300 worth of merchandise with it so far, so the cost of the bag was money well-spent. even with the rouge beep at VS, i would say i have confidence in the bag for use while lifting. although i do still have to stay vigilant whenever i pass through towers, you should ALWAYS be alert, booster bag or not, when you leave a store, and never assume that you won’t beep.
i hope this post could help some people out—and if anyone has some kind of knowledge that could concretely explain the beeping incident at VS/PINK, it would be much appreciated (for me, and anyone else who uses any kind of booster bag).
happy lifting :)
it’s good to see an informative post about booster bags when practically none exist!☺️✨ from what i understand of the way tags work (not a huge amount, admittedly), tags can’t overcome a faraday cage like a booster bag with their combined frequency strength. this is because they all work independently, so their frequencies can’t be combined to create some sort of super frequency to get through the bag. like you said, it seems most likely that one of the tags you took with you was just very strong and overwhelmed the capabilities of the bag. hope this makes sense, it took me a few tries to describe it right😅😅✨
My lüsh gift card scam (explained)
Ok so first, you’re gonna need a couple things.
-a new email. Dont use your actual name.
-something expensive from lush (I lifted a cardamom coffee perfume.)
You’re going to need this because you don’t have a reciept. Place it on a piece of paper and write “My email is: *insert your fake email*” on the paper and take a photo.
Now, you email lush. My email said this:
I inserted a photo of a random rash and then this one:
After which they sent me an email, asking for my cellphone number and I gave it to them. They called me and I gave them some bullshit lie about how I was ‘so happy to use it because it smelled divine and I love lush so much’ and this was the reply after the call:
I did that one more time with a different rash photo and vanillary perfume on a different email and recieved another gift card which I used online for my recent haul!
💕💕💕
This is actually so believable and smart well done I’m proud 💗
Love this! And most companies will give you credit if you actually reach out to them!
I had a reaction to a product and they gave me a free bath bomb and bubble bar it was so sweet ❤
How to take off different tags. As you can see the black tag is a ÜÖ tag. Lots of people are having trouble taking these off. Put your magnet on the spot that doesn’t have that metal pin showing, and it should come right off.
IMPORTANT
(sorry for shitty photo quality)
hi liftblr. haven’t been on in a while, but i figured this was an important post to make just in case no one has yet—yesterday at VS, my friend and i were lifting and found a sneaky RFID sewn in with the washing tags on a bra she wanted. this was the first i’ve ever seen them doing this at VS. only one bra had one, but it was difficult to remove because we hadn’t brought scissors; we actually just put the bra in my booster bag and cut it off later. be careful!!! if i hadn’t seen this tag we definitely would have beeped and maybe been caught. safe lifting everyone!!
check washing tags!!!
in general hold up all tags to a light source to check ):
❤ Seph0r@, a guide ❤
This is by a current Seph0r@ employee who has been trained extensively on their LP situation . Disclaimer: This is for my Seph0r@ ( and theSeph0r@s in the district ) and may be different for yours. This guide was made December of 2019.
Your Look It doesn’t matter. A lot of guides I see talk about how important your look is, but the bottom line is that it doesn’t matter. How you do your makeup doesn’t matter. We have clients who spend 400 a week on makeup and always come in no makeup, and we have clients who spend 10 a week and come in full face beat. The way we can tell if you’re stealing is your behavior and what you’re carrying.
At Seph0r@, we’re taught not to profile and profiling is 100% wrong. However, big tip offs that make us watch you a little more closely are the following.
Asking questions that don’t make sense / telling us info that makes no sense*
Looking nervous / being very aloof / non-responding
Shifty Eyes
NOT ACCEPTING A BASKET / PUTTING PRODUCT YOU PLAN TO CONCEAL IN THE BASKET **
A big bag that appears empty
SMALL BACKPACKS THAT ARE CARRIED AROUND YOUR FRONT
Shades in store
Going in with a large group of friends and constantly splitting
* This is our biggest tip off. If you’re telling us you’re here for a matte foundation but you’re in hair care lingering and watching SA’s, we’re going to watch you a little closely. If you’re telling us you want a natural finish foundation but you’re looking at full coverage foundation / picking up and playing with it, we’re going to watch you a little closer. If you refuse help from an SA when it’s clear to us you don’t know what you’re talking about, we’re going to watch you a little closely. ( This isn’t to make anyone feel bad, but we can tell the different between just being clueless about makeup vs feigning ignorance to drive us away )
** A lot of tips say to take a basket, but I would also like to say that we have plenty of paying clients who refuse baskets ! If you take a basket, either put a decoy in the basket or don’t put anything in the basket at all. If you refuse a basket but have other behaviors of a potential shoplifter, we will be passive aggressive ( as we’re taught to do to deter theft ). I don’t know about y’all Seph0r@ but at mine, if you acting sus, we remember your basket. If you put a benefit brow in there and suddenly it’s gone and you leaving? We know what happened. We can’t do shit, but we know lol.
Chase Policy The only people at Seph0r@ who can apprehend you is LP, which are frequent during holiday seasons and extremely high end store events. We, as employees, can not apprehend you. WE CAN CONFRONT YOU IN STORE IF YOU ARE CAUGHT CONCEALING, and if you admit to taking product, we are obligated to call LP and mall security. Typically, we confront at the door. We literally can’t do anything other than report it to LP, who may or may not take it further. I caught someone concealing three items under her jacket in her hand ( terrible concealment move at Seph0r@, btw ) and reported it on the ear piece and my coworker confronted the lifter, who simply said “piss off” and walked out. We could only call mall security lol.
I also want to state that at a solid amount of stores, we do know you’re lifting. We may not see concealment, but we do know. We can’t do anything, but we do know and we will remember for next time so space out your hauls.
Cameras I can’t speak for all Seph0r@s, but at mine, we typically have one manager or boss at least two - three times a week in the office. On weekends especially, ESPECIALLY during holidays. They are typically not monitoring cameras closely, but they are in there with the monitors. All cameras work and are high quality but again, this is my store. Conceal away from the camera.
Tagging Again, I can’t speak for all Seph0r@s, but majority tag ONLY fragrances. If you beep out the store, its a fragrance, but we won’t say that. We want everyone to think a lot of stuff is tagged. I won’t lie, please do not steal fragrances ( or over the felony charge worth of product in one trip at the same store ). We had two girls steal fragrances ( over 200-300 dollars, I believe ) on the other side of the city ( I live in a major city ) and EVERY store in the city got notified with their pictures and everything. When they came into my store, we all were immediately notified and CS’d them to hell to make them leave. Seph0r@ doesn’t care if you steal a palette and maybe a mascara, we have a budget for that, but if you steal over 100-200 dollars, we will know and be extremely pissed and probably will get LP on your ass.
Also idk about y’alls stores but some really expensive tower items are tagged. For example, dysons are typically tagged or they beep by the towers. Also sometimes we leave everythig in there except the product so you take an empty box home. You could take one and leave but I wouldn’t do it lol.
Basic Tips
Conceal while going around the corner of an aisle of entering a new one. Body conceals work great too if there is no LP or customers around ( you can usually spot them easily or even look up a few on some lifting facebook groups lol )
We are required to help everyone in our zone or check in with them at least once or twice. You’ll definitely know if you’re being sus’d because we say shit like “Would you like a basket for your [product]” “Would you like to see matching [similar product] for your [product]” If you get CS’d like that, drop and leave.
We talk on the ear piece constantly, but usually we’re just chatting, asking for restocks, calling zones, etc. But we are vigilante and if you are sus’d everyone in the store will know. If you get a feeling, drop and leave.
Just research basic makeup things so you can sound slightly knowledgeable if you’re trying to make convo with an SA. If not, just say you aren’t familiar with certain things and would like to hear more.
Don’t act like you’re browsing for a looooong time and circling the store, and everytime you get CS’d you say “No thanks, I’m just looking”. Get your shit, conceal, maybe ask about skincare services or ask for a sample and leave. Better yet, lift, conceal in 10-15 min and then ask about our makeup services. Especially during the holidays, we’re booked. When told we’re booked ( or pretend the day you need is booked ), leave a bit disappointed. Best way to be in and out without being sus.
That’s all of my advice! Out of difficultty, I would say a typical Seph0r@ is a 7-8/10, A good one, a solid 9/10 and a bad one, 5-6/10.
If you have any questions, please lmk! (●´∀`)ノ♡
shoplifting routine + tips
before i sleep, i’m going to type out some things i collected from lift-pros who have deactivated their blogs and adopted into my own routine! i’ll just detail my routine and try to give a few tips at the end so that the newer lifters can have some of the wisdom of those who have left us.
routine:
whenever i go lifting, i always bring a medium sized purse and a large shopping bag. i gently fold the shopping bag and put it inside of my purse. other than this, i’ll bring:
my magnet and hook (i hide them inside of these hidden zippers in my purse) {some lifters use scissors. same goes.}
a wallet with a decent amount of money (if i have it) in case i get caught
earphones (personal preference, but i find that music calms me and makes me look nonchalant. sometimes i won’t even listen to anything so that i can appear occupied, but actually be attentively listening around me.)
when i enter my first store, i’ll browse around, examining fabric, price tags, comparing clothes to my body in the mirrors. this is useful for concealing. if you conceal an item of clothing in another, mirrors are so good for checking if you can see it. just look as if you’re checking our your appearance.
try to take some items without hangers, so that you can put those items onto hangers when you have extras.
once i’ve taken a couple items i want along with some larger items with pockets (jeans, overalls, collared shirts) i’ll go to a changing room. if an attendant asks me how many items i have, i’ll lie and say 2 less than what i have. if they physically count the items, then i’ll probably only steal one item. if no one gives a shit, then still, don’t be too careless about stealing items. there’s still video cameras.
***MAKE SURE not to steal a boldly printed/colored item that’s showing in your pile of clothing or the first item that you’re holding. they’ll probably notice it’s gone, or at least there’s a greater risk. ***
in the changing room, i’ll probably take my shoes off so i don’t look suspicious from underneath the curtain. and if the curtain doesn’t fully close, i ALWAYS hold it closed with my body as i detag. a lady once walked in on me as i was detagging and i nearly had a heart attack, thankfully she didn’t see anything.
after i take the tags off of the items i want, i’ll put the tags into or onto the clothes i don’t want. DOUBLE CHECK FOR TAGS PLEASE!!!! THERE’S CHANCES OF EXTRA HARD AND SOFT TAGS. i’ll put the clothes i detagged in my purse. if i don’t have space, i might wear the item of clothing if it’s small and unnoticeable. when i exit the changing room, i’ll most likely leave one item that has been untouched on the rack outside of the changing room.
PLEASE MAKE SURE NOT TO LEAVE THE ITEM WITH THE EXTRA TAGS ON OR IN IT ON THE RACK OR WITH THE ATTENDANT the attendant will be touching these items the soonest and it’s pretty sketchy when a tag falls out of a pocket or if there’s an extra on there.
i usually take the items with the tags and bring them back out to the store, if i’m not lazy i’ll put it back where it came from. i always try to put it in the middle of the rack.
then i exit the store, trying to look calm.
so you probably noticed i haven’t mentioned the shopping bags yet. this isn’t what everyone does, but i always head to the bathroom and put the clothes i stole into the bag. it works for me because i can’t necessarily pull off walking into my mall with a bag in hand, but if you want to start off with the bag, just put something thin and dark inside the bag to put on top of the clothes you stole. just in case.
then i hit up other stores! except at these other stores, i can put the clothes i take into the shopping bag.
tips:
1. always double check for tags on the clothing. this is a given, but really, you have to check for any kind of tag. you might have gotten the hard tag off, but there could still be a soft tag somewhere, or some other lifter could’ve left a tag somewhere. hold up the price tags and clothing tags up to the light and look for chips and shit.
2. HIDE your tools. please. hide them. if the LP sees your tools, you’ll get punished so much harder because you were shoplifting with the intent.
3. DON’T RUN!!! don’t run. if you run, well, it depends on store policy. but if you run, they might tackle you or call the police or some shit.
4. if you don’t have a good feeling about a place, drop the shit and get out. seriously. get out. leave the mall if you have to. give it a little time before you return. just don’t risk it. no item is worth a record, especially since we’re all young with our futures ahead of us.
5. find somewhere to put your tags. don’t be careless. i’ve seen people just leave the tags in the changing room, it’s not necessarily traceable but it draws attention to the fact that shoplifting is prevalent in the store. what i’ve found is putting them inside of purses, pockets is effective. and of course, retagging clothing as well. i usually tag the inner tag on the seam of the clothing.
6. always be nice to the SA. if they talk to you, they’re just doing their job and being polite. but if they’re following you around a little too closely, they’re probably suspicious of you.
7. dress appropriately for the store. this is also a given, but don’t wear shit like black hoodies and sweatpants, cause you probably look like a lifter who wants to wear clothing out of the store. also, i recommend changing your appearance up a little.
8. don’tttt please don’t go to one store too much and never buy anything. give it some time. if an store attendant asks, i like to say that i’m just trying on things and i’m going to tell my mom what i want so we can come back. also, don’t always go at like 4:00 on a tuesday. change it up, so you catch different employees at different shifts.
9. don’t grab a shitton of stuff and then steal a large portion of it. for me it’s usually: stealing one item for every four pieces i grab, two if the SA’s aren’t nearby or paying attention, or if i concealed really well.
10. you don’t NEED to buy a small thing to alleviate suspicion. i understand the logic, but honestly i’d just get out of the store. don’t stay longer than you need to.
11. when you’re leaving, don’t rush out. walk sloow and calm like any normal shopper would. i get it. you wanna get out ASAP. but you also don’t want to be sus. fake a phone call if you must. or look at your phone. just be natural.
12. DON’T BE AFRAID TO WASTE A DAY ON SCOUTING. lifting at a new store is very exciting but sometimes they might have something you’re not familiar with, like at zara, they will scan every single clothing item and make sure there’s a tag when you’re entering and leaving the changing room. when you scout, figure out the layout, security cameras, SA procedures
13. THIS IS REALLY USEFUL FOR ME idk if it’s useful for you but some of the stores i go to have a level for men’s wear and a level for women. often times, the changing rooms on the men’s level will have fewer people and fewer SA’s. if you feel like the SA’s on the women’s level are hardasses about the clothes in your arm, check out the men’s level.
14. DON’T TAKE WHAT YOU DON’T NEED. don’t be greedy. this is just me, but i take only things i will actually wear. some people boost, so that’s different, but don’t be greedy. stores will probably notice a larger loss in inventory way sooner. pleaseee don’t be greedy. sometimes shoplifting is so easy you think you can get away with anything, but it’s still illegal at the end of the day. only take things you really want. i always look at store websites before hitting up stores so i have an idea of what i want and i have my limits. be smart about it. there’s a ton of big, flashy hauls on tumblr, but you don’t need to compete with others. go at your own speed.
15. don’t ever underestimate the fact that shoplifting is still a crime. even if you’re a teenager, you’ll be punished. don’t forget that. you can still stick it to the man, just, be careful.
other methods besides dressing room concealing:
so there’s a lot of other methods out there, especially just on the floor concealing where you put things in your bag or your sleeve. personally, it doesn’t work for me, so i’m sorry i didn’t cover it. i’m afraid of blind spots not actually being blind spots and i’m also afraid of tags. if there’s jewelry i want or something non-clothing, i’ll hide it under the clothes in my arm. this is only if the SA will not take these things from me and count them. so you need prior knowledge. anyways, a lot of jewelry i’ve seen have tags as well so be careful. i’ve taken shoes, bikinis, jewelry, socks and underwear this way ahaha i’d say it’s effective but you need to know your store.
hope this helped!
Great post. For the anons in my inbox, take a look.

Hey I don’t have to explain my shit at all but
Reading so many people (‘antis’, but i don’t like that term) responding to popular pro-shoplifting posts makes me want to. I can’t speak for all people who shoplift but I can speak for me. I am a teenager, I am not from a particularly well off background, I thought I was but as I get older I discover more debt and problems in my family which make me angry. I am angry that although everyone related to me works as hard as they can, it’s be in debt or not eat. Be in debt or no personal hygiene. Be in debt or no comfort.
So yeah, I fucking steal.
I steal food. I steal clothes. I steal makeup. I am stealing a ton right now because my nieces deserve a lovely Christmas with presents to open. My mother deserves things that make her feel good about herself. I sneak in her room and replace her perfumes and lotions that are running out with ones I’ve stolen so she won’t worry about spending her hard earned money on ridiculously overpriced shit that she deserves. I don’t take from family run stores, local businesses, market vendors. I spend money there and at charity shops too. I take from the big corps that I know for a fact it doesn’t hurt.
‘But-but- employees get-’ No, they don’t. Not where I steal from. Shoplifting is not their problem, they are not to blame for it, it is SO illegal here to cut paychecks or hours for shoplifting unless it’s a local/family run place, which as I said are off limits completely. The big trendy chains here can more than afford a lipstick going missing, a dress stuffed in my bag. The staff are not hurt and if I ever found out otherwise I’d stop this in a heartbeat.
I steal and I’m not fucking ashamed. I am careful, I think about what I take and why and where from. I will steal until we get out of the poverty my government has put us in.
See, my mother has a business, one she worked hard on. Once she broke even, she was forced to shut down part of it because of a ridiculous new law based on taxing square fucking metres of space and she was centimetres over, and subsequently could not afford the extra thousands of pounds a year. She was then forced to lower prices which are already cheap to get as much business as possible because they said if she earns just above what she is earning currently she is taxed hundreds more.
This system keeps us poor and in return I am going to take what I want and need from it.
You hate thieves? Cool. Yell at the people who robbed Pewdiepie. Or the ones who smash n grab at Pandora. Or the assholes who would dine n dash at my mother’s business because it’s a small place and we are too busy to chase. The people who threaten family run gas stations for the till money. THEY are the bad guys here.
I took tampons and painkillers and bread and vegetables. Then I took basic makeup and skincare. Then I took clothes and shoes. Now I take all these things and we are living more comfortably than before, we are saving money and debt is actually getting lesser because of me. My mother doesn’t ask. We were not okay until I began cheating this system back, and I’m fucking glad and proud that I did.
Bumping my own post because you know what I fucking snapped
PERIOD
